It's not like "politically motivated" is a bad thing here or anything; Elder Nelson is not running for office. But it good to know the church doctrine on this issue to educate us in making our political decisions whatever they be. So I assume, since this issue is being debated currently, the brethren are sensitive to what is going on in the world and Elder Nelson felt this would be a valued article. There should be no confusion on where the Lord stands on this.
