Are they rehiring or have they rehired Michael Muhney as Adam Newman. I wish Justin Hartley was coming back but with his success on "This is us" I guess that won't be happening so I hope Micheal comes back to the show. Nick needs to be with Sharon, and Chelsea needs her Adam back. Looking forward to Adam's return.

Yes more than anything I want Michael Muhney to return as Adam Newman. I have watched the show for 37 years now. I consider Y&R my second family, I grew up with these characters. It has always been a very exciting show that you just had to see everyday. Actors came and went through the years but the show pretty much has always been excitng. The Victor Newman character played, by Eric Braeden, has always been my favorite. He is the Y&R in my eyes. He has a fire in his character that spellbounds me. There is however, another actor that affects me in the same way, Michael Muhney. He also has the fire in his character of Adam Newman. When these two were in a scene together fire was all over the place. The viewers could not get enough of this soap opera. It has been voted as the #1 soap opera on daytime TV many many times. Now unfortunely, Y&R is losing that status I am afraid. I am still watching this show, but now because I wait impatiently to see Michael Muhney reprise this role. There is some talk that MM will return but it is not a sure thing and we the fans dont know that it will happen at all. The show has become very, mundane would be a good word here, so would the word, dull. I am only stating truth! I do not want to lose my TV family, but I can not watch a dull show that has always been part of my day for most of my life. Besides, I am afraid it will soon be cancelled. I hope the higher ups at Y&R will go with a sure thing and bring Michael Muhney and his Adam Newman character back. That is what it will take to save this show.

Yes ! I want Adam back... but I hope he will continue to evolve into the good man he can be... he and Chelsea and baby were so good together. Let him be the kind of Father he never had, and let Victor become a living, admiring Father to Adam. Let Sharon and Nick slowly find their way back to each other and have a very surprise twin baby's together ( I live sharon and they have turned her into a crazy idiot STOP can't we have some good stuff for a while? Have been considering stopping watching Y&R with sadness since Michael's departure (though Justin was very likeable...too likeable for the complex character of Adam Newman). Michael was perfect as the confflicted character of Adam! The show has become boring without Adam, filled with less interesting storylines and actors. I have watched Y&R since the beginning, but they need to clean house...too many less talented actors and banal storylines. Bring back Michael Muney as Adam Newman!

Never believed the rumors to begin with. Michael is the only Adam Newman for me! Please bring him back and soon, Y&R is so boring right now and I only watch every few days. With Sally Spectra's neice on B&B now to liven things up, I just might enjoy daytime soaps again...

i loved Michael As Adam. as Adam his was great. i dont know though we believe Adam is dead. How that would work out. Did they say it was Adam in the explosion. But if it can work id like Michael back he did keep the show exciting.

OMG!!! This is the best news I have heard in a long, long, time!!!! Michael Muhney WAS Adam!!! He made the show interesting!!! I have watched Y & R since the very beginning, and by far, he was the best actor on there period. Don't get me wrong, Justin was good, but not AS good as Michael was!! So please, writers, producers, Sony, everyone - please bring Michael back as Adam!!! The ratings will soar on his first day on air!!! I am sure of it!

Mistakes were made and just about everyone deserves a 2nd chance! If he does come back, leave the character alone, this killing Adam off or exiting him from Y/R is getting nuts!! With that said, I would personally like to see Michael back (yes I liked Justin too, but he is having success with his new role) Rooting for Michael!

I said yes but to tell the honest thruth I would prefer Jason Hartley back more. Yes, Michael was was great but like he said he got to cocky for his own good. Jason came on the show and made the part his own. Chelsey & him are amazing together. Of course this is just my opinion. Maggie

I see it as a bunch of backstage politics crap that TPTB @ The Young And The Restless would dismiss such a fine actor as Michael Muhney to save face based on defamating, unsubstantiated rumors that couldn't be corroborated. It's been three years since it all went down and TPTB @ The Young And The Restless have made no amends or attempts to rectify this entire situation. I hope Michael Muhney is rehired by TPTB @ The Young And The Restless with their sincerest regrets and apologies and we have the pleasure of watching him in the role of Adam Newman for many years and decades to come

I think people are way too quick to judge others and I do not believe Michael would risk his career to try to take advantage of a girl on set. I do believe he is probably a flirt but after all the work I assume he put in just to reach that point of being on y&r I definitely believe that it was just rumor and whoever started it should lose their job for messing with somebody life that's so talented
