Attended a Women's Day event in Chiapas a few years ago. We handed out condoms and most the women knew nothing about them. Others thought they were a type of candy named condones. Good for the mayor to educate with a "light touch".

People are sexual being and practicing "safer sex" is an important way to promote health and avoid unintended pregnancies. Actions, like that of the major, bring healthy sexual practices out in the open. It's a great way to normalize it.

It is an important issue and I applaud the Mayor's courage to provide herself as a very desirable and authentic role model for young women.
