Do you feel red light cameras will cut down on accidents in Greenville?

I think the more effective option would be to get rid of Memorial and Greenville Blvd instead.

    I
Feel this is wrong An that it's not going to stop
    Anyone from running the light
Here's my question how will they decide in between the yellow An red light who gets tickets because yellow means yield red means stop so if u don't have time to yield then you may catch red light so you be getting a ticket for running a red light when you actually didn't yield. Plus I feel it's entrapment

Red light cameras tend to reduce violations by about 50% after six months to a year of operation. Adding one second to the yellow intervals almost always reduces violations by 70% to 80+% in 30 days. Con$ider the rea$on$ official$ u$e le$$ effective camera$ in$tead of $afer longer yellow interval$ on the light$.

Red light cameras are predatory government-run money-grab rackets that should be illegal in every state, as they are in some already. Setting or leaving the yellow intervals too short for at least 85% of the drivers is negligent engineering that should get the licenses of the responsible engineers suspended or revoked.

I don't think the cameras will help the issue. People are still going to run the lights especially when they think they can make the yellow light before it turns red. City on Greenville had lights on the corner of Memorial & Arlington before & the city took them down because it didn't help the issue of running the light. I don't think it will work this time either
