There is -nothing- redeeming on the court, or in the attendance under his helm.
Lets do the math ABQ Journal, if we continue to bleed seats, lets say another 10-20% lower next year, doesnt that make up for million dollar payout? 1000 (Lobo Club season ticket loss at $1500 each) seat loss ( x 15 home games x parking fees ($15?)x concessions ($5?)= 1.5 million + 225k + 75k = 1.8 million
Add another 1000 fewer single game ticket reductions (40/ticket x 15 home games) plus parking & concessions and it is another 900k in losses to UNM.
Thats 2.7 million in losses.
Versus paying Neal 1 million to move to different pastures. I believe the clause states if Neal is terminated during the 5 yr contract, and he is hired during the duration of the contract, the new salary is deducted from the 1 million buyout. So,... 200k as an assistant somewhere next year= 800k buyout.
800k is less than 2.7million.
And it doesn't keep punishing the long-suffering, best fan base in the nation.
We have gone from a top 20 program under Alford and fallen at least 150 spots...
Enough is enough. There are zero signs of improved basketball under Coach Neal. His first year veteran team with seniors and future NBA players could have honestly coached itself to the same record. The last 3 years have been consistently pathetic.

Neal need to leave fire him!!! He not a coach Lobos fans deserve better ,his winning record sucks in 4 years ,he need to pack is bags and move now ,before he hurts Lobos fans badly or worse ,Neal move on
