Can President Trump make America great again?

Our great President Donald J Trump is so under the gun from all sides except, of course from his loyal deplorable base, of which I am a proud member. I can only hope he knew this would fail in congress and he is only trolling the non-believers; and some of them bit. In addition, anybody jumping ship at this point, wasn't ever solidly with him from the start. He's just getting started.

It's a shame they wont let Trump do his job. They keep blocking him, and turning down his executive orders, and slamming him for stupid things. Let him do his job, you might be surprised.

I trust Trump but NOT congress or Paul Ryan! After they removed wording that would stop illegals from getting healthcare, I prayed it wouldn't pass! I have been unable to qualify for ANY insurance for the past 7 years because I don't have an income and no small children and my husband on SSI has insurance through VA. My grown daughter (22) can't get it either! She's married without a job and husband on his parents plan still! Why should illegals rights be put before ours??

The healthcare replacement plan should have been ironed out within Obamas 8 years, Trump is not to blame for this one. They need to get it right from the beginning because if they don't the republicans will never hear the end of it. So since the members who have had the opportunity to put plans in place for many Years and did not do it, Trump in 60 days is not the problem. If this is not the plan then get it right and then put it out there. Listen to all people who did not like things in this bill. Prices need to come down, definitely. President Trump needs to work the deal with some ins companies and pharmaceutical companies also. Ambulance transportation, my husband got a bill for going 0.4 of a mile for over $700.00 and I heard thats cheap.

This is the first poll I have ever voted in. Republicans should be ashamed. We have a President , President Trump, who truly loves our country. He has nothing to gain by what he is putting himself and his family through. You all need to get a spine and back our PRESIDENT. I am beginning to see why the Democrats have dominated for so many years, when the Republicans do get a chance to stand for their party, their spineless.

They came out swinging. Excellent move on the part of the transition team. Trump, bless his heart, hasn't lied, and it pisses off the left. He is blunt, painfully blunt, but he needs to be. Everything he has done so far, whether you cringe or applaud, has produced a reaction from all sides. More often than not, he has come out on top. Change takes time. He's testing the waters. He is exposing all of the warts in Washington (ie. Ryan, Intelligence, La La Peloopsy, Up Chuck Schumer, Comey, former administration minions...) I can't wait to see what other snakes crawl out of their holes. Shovels ready, America!

I still am behind Trump but him trusting Ryan to help him maybe not his best idea....I think he could do great things if he didn't have such adversity to anything he says or wants to do....people should wish he does well and work with him to accomplish these things....this petty party politics that the ins in DC are still playing at will never accomplish anything...

I have not lost faith in trump but I thought the bill was horrible unreadable and the snake in the grass Paul RYAN owns it all rand Paul's plan us better. But why do we need job health care to begin with except for our senior Citi end. When I was growing up you went to work and got insurance from the group at the radio station you worked at. Ktrh paid 60% and I paid the rest. Great plan

I lowve President Trump. I do ot always agree with him, but I have faith that he will find a way tomdrain the swamp and get our agenda passed. I think the health care debacle only goes to show how corrupt Congress is, and is no reflection on the President. The never-Trumpers and the pychotic democrats got together to defeat the bill, but now they have to go and explain to their constituents why they didn't keep their promise. I am not at all disheartened because, although better than Obamacare, it was a lousy bill. I would like to see Rand Paul's bill passed.

Nobody said this was going to be easy! We all need to stand by Trump and try to assist! I've never witnessed a former president like Obama stay in Washington and obstruct!! This makes it very difficult to get things done!

  • Debra Brandt - 7 years ago

I wish he would get the federal government out of Healthcare!! Give it to the states to come up with a plan. He should protect our borders and citizens!

  • Caroline McGilloway - 7 years ago

Reading some comments and getting twisted. Unless Trump is using strategy
by even putting out RYAN'S plan, a plan doomed, he should get serious the same
Way he did on the pipe line, the manurfactuing, etc. He needs to look at the damn HOSPITALS, and what they charge the Insurance co. For an aspirin And a drink of water.
I want Mr. Trump to succeed believe me. He is dragging a lot of baggage around with him. Let's not have any bankruptcies on this job.
    My apologies.

  • Alicia - 7 years ago

I stand with TRUMP! He's done more for this country than we have every seen! He's keeping his promises to the ppl. America PRESIDENT... The PEOPLES PRESIDENT! You rock TRUMP! The hater will always hate! Criminal will go to jail.. DRAIN THE DAMN SWAMP!

  • Caroline McGilloway - 7 years ago

I voted for Trump. I want him to stop beating his chest , get his frigging ego out of the way, work on health care personaly, use that "great" business ability he is so proud of.
I know he has a lot on his plate, but he said he would do away with Obama Care.
Then do AWAY with it, start looking at what you (Paul Ryan???) have, I expect you
President Trump to give the American people what you promised, for the young and the
OLD. BE careful of others, R. Paul may have some decent input BUT HE is pushing
AARP they supported Obama Care??? Well that's off my chest. More to come.

I am surprised he has been able to accomplish anything at all. Not that he isn't trying. It is simply the wacko Democrats in Congress, either not showing up for work or not voting. They are also quite a few Republicans who would like it Trump didn't succeed. So much for party loyalty. FIRST of he needs his cabinet positions and other appointees confirmed so they can help him get things done. SECOND some of the Democrats need to grow up and then there are those who can't remember who the President is. Is it possible to get rid of these people? Mandatory retirement for the senile ones.... As replacing the Obamacare mess, why does it have to be federally runned? Just make it so anyone can afford insurance and no one can be turned down for any reason. The insurance and pharmaceutical companies are greedy and should be regulated. That alone would help.

  • Hedy Michelson - 7 years ago

I voted for Donald Trump because He is God's choice and I trust He is the best choice for the times we are living in. He has done all he said he would do and is on track with his promises. He can't control what others do. I don't go up and down or get in anger and emotions. I pray for him every day. God is with him!!

  • Estela Hanson - 7 years ago

Will Support and believe in him regardless; He's only been in office for almost 3 months--it takes time to dismantle the 8 years of damage that OBAMA and the Dems inflicted with America. Trump needs us more than ever.

  • Louise McMurtrie - 7 years ago

I think Trump is a very strong person. With what the left throughs at him it is a wonder he can keep calm. I have never seen a President work as hard as him. This Russia thing is so rediculous.

  • Crystal Leslie - 7 years ago

I don't believe this is a set-back for President Trump, who did his best! It's a problem for us who have to live with healthcare that is a burden. Our monthly payments went up over $600 this past year and our deductible went from $7500 to $9500. It has to change and I believe that he will get it done! We can only hope it's soon!????????????God bless him and his team!

  • Yvonne Atkins - 7 years ago

I voted no by accident.....meant YES

  • Lori Howell - 7 years ago

First of all, I agree with those who have posted so far, but especially Stephen Antos. I personally believe that there is far more going on below the surface than what can be seen and derived from all of this. All I can say is that Trump knows what he is doing. Does he make mistakes? Sure, he is human like everyone else. But. He did not get to the place he is in by being stupid. I read somewhere that someone asked, "Doesn't anyone play chess anymore?", in regards to all of this. Trump is a negotiator. I truly think that he is exposing all of these politicians for who they really are, as well as their motives. I say if we want the job done right, we need to let Trump handle it. In the meantime we need to give him our support.

  • Angela - 7 years ago

I totally think this is all a part of a plan! He needs everyone to know that everything with healthcare is shit and then he will get people to come together and finally compromise! It does suck for the people who are needing a change and some relief from the high costs.

  • Lee Wright - 7 years ago

7 years as prelude to this vote...and the deal closer couldn't give us what he promised us! I don't blame anything but the fact that our party seems more poised to resist those in power than to actually be able to get important things done! If this couldn't get done with the House, the Senate, and the White House, then its time to reach across the aisle like a good deal maker does! This is not something to wait to "explode" when it is a matter of life and death! Let's support true solutions whatever it takes and put partisan egos aside!

  • Marsha - 7 years ago

I have not lost confidence and I agree it takes some time, especially with a large majority of Congress against him. That said, I'm glad that the AHCA Bill that the traitor Paul Ryan was pushing failed. We want Repeal then Replace, don't just rewrite parts of Obamacare.

  • Kathy Sholtz - 7 years ago

President Trump is stratiegic. He knows what he is doing. He will be successful. Just leave him alone.

  • Lynn Westrich - 7 years ago

Change takes time. Trump will make America Great again. He is a businessman and he will go on to tax reform. He never gives up and unlike congress he takes this in stride and resumes his other agendas. He does not wallow in sympathy. He knows there will be defeats but he also knows there are wins. Winners never quit. The Democrats will pay the price as Obamacare will implode.

  • Terry - 7 years ago

I still believe in President Trump and that he is the best fighter the Republican party has had in years! However, I do believe he has advisors that may not be 100% on the train and even those who are working against him, if you can believe the Paul Ryan meeting after the pulling of the bill with Obama.... This hopefully if true will get to President Trump and he will handle it as only he can !! Still a Happy Trump Deplorable from Texas !

  • Brenda Schmerse - 7 years ago

I totally agree with you Tracy. Rome wasn't built in a day neither will America. It took years to cause the problems we are facing today, it will take years to fix it. President Trump will do what he can with the people he has to work with. Give him time.

  • Cathy - 7 years ago

He's handling it like a business-man, not a politician, because he isn't one. You could liken this unto Research & Developement. The first prototype failed. The next one will be better. It might fail, too. The instant you realize that, you pull it. It's dead. Back to the drawing board. That's what you do, and you keep doing it, until you have a viable model for a market that you know exists for the product you are developing.

  • Stephen Antos - 7 years ago

This is not Trumps setback as far as I am concerned! He has to show how screwed up the established republicans are and have been for 30 years! The lite Obama care bill was not what should have taken Paul Ryan the last 20 years to come up with and shows his lame job as speaker and advisor abilities to Trump! Trump I believe is smarter and doing exactly what has to be done to make him a stronger and great President to get the job done! With all the spying done on him and the years of it and still Obama has nothing on him is a miracle in its self! Can everyone imagine if it was done on almost all of the higher up Democrats! They would go to jail on day one!

  • Linda - 7 years ago

100% agree Tracy. If people thought this was going to be easy and fast they have not been aware of how truly corrupt our society has become and how long it takes to get anything done in our government. I think he will do as much as he possibly can to help reverse the damage and when and if possible put us on a better path to help as many as he can. He is just one human and I actually do think he wants to help America so whatever he can do I think he will do. If I am wrong about him it would not be a shock since he is human and none of us can actually solve anything alone and without the compassion and cooperation of others, that tends to be the problem in politics. Everybody wants things now to be done and fixed and finished perfectly to their specific every need yet millions can not live with that specific need so now you have the dilemma of making it livable for two who need the complete opposite and neither want to help you meet with something they can both live with because they want something specific to THEM, government/people can't help those who refuse to help themselves and others.

  • George Wenzel - 7 years ago

Ryan needs to be replaced as Speaker. The House needs a leader who is a Trump supporter and believes in the President's agenda, not establishment goals. Priebus needs to be replaced as Chief of Staff with someone like Newt who is committed to Trump and who knows the inner workings of Congress. President Trump needs to learn from this healthcare failure and take corrective measures.

  • Tracy - 7 years ago

Why does everyone expect miracles overnight? Change is not easy. Give him a chance already. The establishment will not change overnight. His Presidency has brought government to the forefront like never before. The ugly truths are being exposed every day. The people are finally seeing how crooked the establishment really is. This in itself is a success for him and all Americans.
