Staubach was fat and away the best on the Cowboys and the league. Consider that after drafted, he had to serve 4 years in the Navy and when he got to the Cowboys he sat for 2 seasons with very limited play. Finally Landry decided to make him the starter. Had he gotten the opportunity to play those 4 earlier years, who knows what he could have done. On a side note, he is the type of guy that many aspire to be

Romo was injury prone (which of course was not his fault) Now if he'd played in the era of smash mouth football as Staubach did (& to a degree so did Aikman) he'd likely have been out of football sooner. It really bothers me that people say that Tom Brady's THE greatest QB of all time--again he's had the advantages (soft on quarterback rules, home field advantage, multiple calls in his favor and yes cheating) that teams didn't have in the 70s. Anyway to make a long story short it's hard to vote for a precise winner here as we're talking three different eras of football.

Staubach's Passer rating dropped in the playoffs from already being 45 percent better than the rest of the league when he played the Steelers and such well yeah come on....Staubach is top 3 qb in the history of the NFL

Tony Romo in 3rd place? Whats wrong here people. Im a die hard cowboy fan and know tony is the best qb the cowboys have EVER had. Aikman got lucky with the teams he had at the time who won those rings for him. Can you imagine if tony had the same. Im sure he would be sporting 4-5 rings himself surely.

Aikman s greatest competition was the Bills? Really?! Try him and his teams had to go the nfc east wich was more than likely the toughest division ever at that time and face the 49ers wich can be argued as the greatest dynasties of all time in a time before free agency so the caliber of teams were much greater not too mention between the nfc east and 9ers were winners of the previous 6 supers bowls or 7 of the previous 8 prior to Cowboys winners in 92
