Two serious talents but Canavan was totally magic against all the odds. Cooper was a great player supported by a great team. It's much easier to be strong when all around you carry you. When going got tough he often faded and as they say when the going gets tough the tough get going. I'm from Kerry and even as a kid had Canavan on jerseys. One of the best without question. There shouldn't be the need to compare I feel. Why detract from the talent of Cooper by comparing him to another GAA great. He's his own talent and a great one.

There is no competition.... cooper the best I have ever seen coming from a Cork man it's hard.... Peter was also a different class above the rest
