I have been involved in numerous investigations of this type. It's a lengthy process. In the end we've never terminated an employee unless absolutely positively guilty. O'Reilly should have been investigated and given the chance to defend himself instead of a bunch of quick payoffs.

I have watched nothing but Fox News for years but I am truly disappointed about the firing of Bill O'Rilley. I watched his show everyday and sometimes the replay at 11:00. I love Hannity and the Five but not sure that I will continue watching . I believe this is a witch hunt and nothing else . The left is trying to bring Fox down and where else would they start except with the mumber one guy with the number one show on cable for the last fifteen years. I am very saddened by his leaving . I have been watching today and it really just doesn't feel right knowing that he won't be on anymore and it seems like to me that the people still working are feeling the same way. There will be a huge empty spot there even though someone else is taking his spot. Like someone else commented I would like to know who the sponsors were that pulled their adds I would also boycott them.

I agree with Rachel, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? We used to have Fox on at our house 24/7 but no more! We hate watching CNN and the others but Fox has forgotten about being loyal to its newscasters and it's viewers.
I have zero tolerance myself towards any man who shows sexual innuendos to any woman, especially at the workplace!! This very thing happened to me on several occasions at it isn't fun by any means, however after seeing what people will do once they've been paid cash by the 'other side' I don't doubt that Mr. O'Reilly was under a Witch Hunt.
Shame on you Fox News... I always thought you were for the underdog and people being treated wrongly and here you are treating somebody wrong yourselves.

This was orchestrated by the left, the NYTimes comes out with this story, then the left goes after advertisers of the show with emails that look like thousands of customers and audience from the show want him gone but really its paid left sending out robo emails.And then FOX caved way too soon. Wether the harassment is true or not we will never know for sure, but this could've been handled so differently. Bill O'Reilly deserved to end his career there with class and dignity after years of bringing them the best world news. Seriously Bill Clinton with Monica was ok? Bill Cosby not in jail? I just find the timing of the allegations quite fishy. His passion for children, the USA, an uncorrupt government, ending violence and bringing truth and thoughtful opinions will always be remembered in my book. I hope he pulls a DML and gets his own thing going!

I believe nothing, anymore. I thoroughly enjoyed Bills views and opinions. I think this is a left wing plot. Dems may have lost the election but, they are winning in t b eir wickedness. I hope we hear from O'Reillys attorney soon. All of these women all of a sudden come crawling out if the woodwork. I was sexually harrased and abused. I couldnt wait to report my perpitrator to the police. This needs to be brought to a court of law. All evedence on the table. I will continue to watch FOX because it seems they are the closest to the truth I can get. However, I do not agree with the way they treated this situation.

I have not watched O'Reilly in a long time because I feel Fox is going left. That said, I think firing people for allegations is wrong. If O'Reilly was innocent, I feel he should have let those lawsuits go to court. It would take only one knock-out win to stop the increasing accusations. Settling was a mistake. I'm betting it all stops now. The Left has gotten their wish.

Don't watch FOX..no cable. But trial by social media doesn't count! And payoff by FOX doesn't count. Court Trial by jury of peers is the only acceptable verdict. I would wait for that and at least hope whatever is true comes out!

In my opinion ..... if Bill did sexually harass these women shame on him. HOWEVER, if these women were sexually harassed, shame on them for not coming forward at the time. For them to make this a POLITICAL STATEMENT IS WRONG.
Their 15 minutes of fame will demise into the nothingness of our minds and they will be forgotten .... however, the work Bill has done will live on due to the high standards he has set.

I only watched him once in a while. I couldn't stand Kelly and don't much like Tucker Carlson. I wish Hannity was on at 9. And I stopped watching the five because of Juan Williams. So I guess I will stick with Fox business news then switch to taped programming until hannity comes on. I watched DML until he left newsmax. The best of the bunch.

I particularly don't care that much for Bill O'Reilly, but I do give him full credit for trying to get Congress to pass Megan's Law. Firing Mr. Reily will give FOX much deserved Karma. He made millions for them over his 20 years. I can understand their reseasoning, but they should've given him the option of resigning, rather than giving him all that bad publicity over the internet. I wonder how much money they gave him...hopefully more than they gave Roger Ailes. Robert Murdoch better watch his Arse!
