Just listen to the people who guard the border. They are literally all for the wall.
Who would be in a better position to know than those who work this problem daily.

I think the wall is crucial as a visible symbol of our resolve to put a stop to illegals and drugs crossing our border with Mexico. All the aspects of stopping illegals and drugs that you talk about are crucial. Including The Wall.

Its very important building the wall! But also we need to stop hrlping them. As Dennis says 'stop giving them a reason to come' Dont hire them I say but then some want the cheep labor..
But these, sanctioned cities need to go as well for anything to be effective..

Immigrants crossing the southern border is down 70% in some areas already WITHOUT the wall...I agree 100% with Dennis that taking away the incentive to come here illegally is much more effective than building a wall but if we can get it built then great! I just don't feel like it's a "deal-breaker"!!!

Also, the current laws on the books in the United States MUST be ENFORCEDin all states!!!!!

If it would turn out just the wall didn't get done, most would probably be OK. But! add in everything else, it becomes real important. He seems to be backing off of a lot. Why can't the border be like Area 51 all it has is a fence but they know you are there.

I must assume the majority of respondents either disagree with you or haven't heard your ideas about cutting the incentives to come here illegally. I just feel the money might be better spent on upgrades and increased personnel.

I chose "Nice to have, but not a must", because I believe as long as Trump and his Administration continue to follow the existing law of immigration and deport those who are illegally here in America, the numbers coming in will go down. Our nation's horrendous debt is my concern. However, if Cruz's bill is passed and the wall is paid for by the seized money from Drug Cartels, I would find that to be an amazing blessing for our country. I'll more than gladly take that for the protection of our border. :-)

I believe the wall should be built and the perimeter monitored and enforced. I also believe it isn't the only solution, but a part of the solution. The money, jobs, current laws not enforced are part of that "wall" or deterrent, and as you have shown us more needs to be done to stop the money laundering. Without the physical wall and patrol in place the drugs will still come thru...maybe the banks need to be held accountable for assisting in the scheme of they don't change the cards?
