Would like to see someone who is not a political activist for one side or the other, who is not a household name, who has integrity and a backbone and who has a squeaky clean background. Maybe someone from Trump's list of potential judges. They're not all going to get the opportunity to be selected for a place on the Supreme Court. Many potential jurists have law enforcement backgrounds of some kind, so I don't think this is much of a stretch.

I picked Trey Gowdy, because of his law and prosecutorial background and character. However, I think he may need to stay where he's now. Sheriff Clarke would be my second choice. I admire his no nonsense style and think he'd be a perfect fit.

First, I'd like to say I took your poll and believe getting rid of Comey was in the best interests of all Americans.
Sad to see the haters on this site; but, DML you've been discovered! I believe Trey Gowdy would be an excellent choice; however, I think we need him in Congress at the present time. My next choice would be Sheriff David Clarke. He's no nonsense and straight forward. Plus, he's not a political insider. I believe he would be non partisan and strictly by the book! I'm sure whomever is selected will be in for an uneventful confirmation...not!

Trey Howdy is a good choice, and folks want him because they believe he will go after HRC. However, if we look at the bigger picture, Mr. Gowdy best serves America right where he is at, in Congress.
Sheriff Clarke is the best choice. Not only is he a no bullshit kind-of-guy, he obviously has the law enforcement background. Sheriff Clarke will most likely still go after HRC, while still attacking antifa and BLM.
