Should bilingual signs be made mandatory?

English and French are the two official languages of Canada not Mandarin or Cantonese or any other language. If the Chinese or others are allowed to have any public signage it should be at least 80% English/French first and 20 % 0f whatever the other language is. It looks like we may need to have language police like they have in Quebec. And if someone wants to challenge this in Supreme Court, good luck. Quebec gets away with enforcing language law with French in Quebec and they're under the same constitution as the rest of us. Why should Canada have to change its laws and constitution for immigrants. They want to live here its up top them to comply with our laws and customs and learn the official languages.

The point of Canada is English and French is clear. Another point is who seeks to join others should according to nature, respect the group he joins. It is the same when a Canadian chooses to live in China; he should learn to use Chinese language.

All signage should have English and/or French only on them. This is Canada. Immigrants must learn English/French as these are the official languages of Canada. What is going on in Richmond should never have been allowed. Time to stop this disrespectful practice.
