I diligently recycle everything i believe is recyclable and am very disheartened to hear that glass metal and plastic are of no value. That is odd to me. But I am trying to do my part to help lessen the amount that goes to landfill for the future of our hometown citizens.

You'll probably have far more yes responses than others because only those most passionate about recycling will take the survey. Shreveport needs an entirely new campaign on recycling and it's benefits. We need better information on exactly which paper products Pratt uses? I understand that they have no partners accepting the glass, metal and plastic - it all goes to the landfill. Absolutely no benefit to the program. By volume, the gretest amout of items collected, other than paper, are probably plastic. Has Shreveport tried to attract a plastics firm? From personal experience, an every other week collection schedule would word. If many people do not participate at all, what happened to their blue containers? Lastly, our pickups have been regular and always on time!
