McCarthy is truly horrible and just babbles about nonsense in stands. Every child eating food, every fan catching a foul ball, what people are wearing. Just to show I'm not totally biased he does a credible job doing play-by-play on NFL games. As if that isn't bad they have Gregg Murphy doing features from the stands. No matter if it's a close game Gregg has to get his face on TV. If your a baseball fan you want to watch the pitcher and batter before the ball is thrown. The whole crew are a bunch of homers. I don't need cheerleaders in the booth just call and analyze the game.

As if the product on the field isn't bad enough we have to listen to McCarthys incessant chortling. Davis is not much better with his annoying Home run payoff contestant. 'Good luck Betty", "Way to go Betty". Another genius that never hit his weight chiming in about how to hit. Just like Stairs did in the past. Apparently he didn't take his wealth of knowledge and pass it on to the players. How come when they finally do get a few runs they interview Stairs in the dugout but when they don't hits no interview. They suck big time, Except for Kruk. Move them to radio and put LA and Franskie in the tv booth.

Terrible group of announcers. Tom McCarthy does nothing but chuckle at everything and makes the same mistakes over and over. Ben Davis tries to be analytical, but rarely is critical of the team when they deserve it. Schimdt. Never mind. Murphy, if it's a fluff piece he's your guy, but as stand-in play-by-play he's overmatched. The only bright spot is the subtraction of Matt Stairs who mumbled more than communicated and the addition of John Kruk who brings a fresh, outside perspective. How long will Kruk last before succumbing to the mind-numbing drivel of McCarthy is anyone's guess. They try to add analytics to the broadcast, but how many times can you hear "so and so throws a curve 2.7% of the time" game in and game out?
