Since the assets would be open and available, you could potentially make both. Start with the youtube VR vids as this will preserve and accomplish what you're going for. But, since the assets are available, and especially as VR becomes cheaper, open it up and make it into a game. Unreal Engine 4 is free to use as long as you don't make substantial money off of it, and it's cross platform. That means that it can be used with mouse and keyboard, controller, or smartphone VR similar to the youtube videos. If this goes open source, that might even speed up the production of such a thing. I'd even join to help out. Anyways, those are my two bits. I think that either way, it would be a really cool thing to see happen.

I second what Jrbdog & Kyla said. If Defunctlandcould be on a game engine, you could just take in game footage and upload that to youtube. Giving people the opportunity to explore the park how they like would be incredible and allow them to actually get the "old" experiences.

I feel like it could be on both platforms, with the game engine being much more interactive. I like the idea of actually being able to explore the park, and pick which rides I want to experience.

I agree with Christian. You could create the park in a game engine, then put in-game videos on Youtube.

VR is very expensive right now so the poll here reflects that. I doubt they would be opposed to free exploration of the park. It's a pricing issue.

    DO BOTH please
