Absolutely :) it does no harm. All it can do is bring people together and allow people to come out of the closet surrounded by their peers

    Romans 13:10
"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."

First off, this whole month is recognized as pride month for many in the community. We celebrate more than being gay. In fact, we celebrate love itself in all forms. We celebrate those that love us despite our differences, our families and friends. We celebrate our freedom to love one another romantically despite what's in our pants.

May I remind you all of 1 Peter 4:8
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

    To Nancy,
Thank you for your concern. Memorial day is a good day to celebrate until we get our own day since those people DIED so we could have the FREEDOM to be ourselves and express our culture, heritage, and beliefs, whether that's straight, gay, bi, Christian, Muslim, black, white, Native American, we have a right to be ourselves thanks to those that died. Our celebrations of being ourselves is in thanks to those on memorial day. Y'all can go and cook on your grills and drink beer to celebrate, and we can have a pride parade.

    1 Corinthians 13:7
"[Love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

    To ruby,
You are born with acceptance being a cismale or cisfemale. Being gay is not something we are accepted for as seen by the votes here. Just as many past transgressions in the US are covered with a national day/week/month to celebrate. We do have an international women's day on March 8, and an international men's day on November 19. Simply, we want a day to celebrate being ourselves even though- maybe especially since- society hasn't and doesn't still fully accept us.

    1 John 4:8
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

Its bad enough that they use MEMORIAL DAY FOR THEIR BIG DAY. IT SPOTS IN THE FACE TO OUR SOLDIER'S FACES THAT DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY SO THAT WE COULD HAVE FREEDOM !!!! ITS A DISGRACE ON THAT DAY OF ALL DAYS !!!

No Way, we don't have a male pride day we don't have a woman pride day so why the H*** do we need a Gay Pride day???
