Should congress allow Obamacare to die?

I voted Yes... but when that happens, the left will start saying that the failure of Obummercare will be Trumps fault because it happened on his watch. I see it all the time in my news feed. It's just ridiculous.

The replacement bill should be a bill that applies to all citizens equally across the board inclusive of ALL government officials. If what the government offers the people applies to ALL people the I believe the new bill, call it what you may would be much more affordable and beneficial for all.

I really hate to see my government in the insurance business! But, since Obama threw us into it, we can't hardly leave our fellow Americans high and dry! They need something! My son recently had to find some insurance and ended up with some temporary renewable two month crap!

I am having a hard time understanding why the government is making healthcare bills for us when they don't have to use it?? If Congress had to live like the rest of us (for example NOT get everything for free at the expense of taxpayers but from their own pockets) things would be a whole lot different and that is why I firmly believe there should be someone who represents the working class of America when laws and bills are made because the ones who are supposed to are failing at it

Obama care should be left to either die, or they should take a behind the barn and shoot it to put it out of its misery. In either case it should not be replaced with anything. The Constitution does not state the federal government is responsible for healthcare. People have to realize they are responsible for their own lives, their own work, their own insurance, their own food, etc.

Let's be honest...this is a lose-lose situation for everyone. If Obamacare fails, the media won't blame President Obama and the democrats and a bill designed to fail, they will blame the republicans and President Trump.

I sure hope that a new bill is being written that holds some of the good parts of Obamacare...though the only one that comes to mind is covering pre-existing conditions.

I love this country...but I know the truth about the cost of healthcare in Canada for example. Yes, it's "free," but the taxes and cost of living are so high that no one owns anything...aside from the bank.

DML...keep fighting the good fight, but take care of yourself first. The country needs your voice of reason.

Obamacare needs to be totally gone. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. If the currently proposed bill, or anything resembling it passes, and if it fails or ends up costing even more than Ocare, it will forever be known as Trump care and will hound him to his grave. I don't think a cobbled-together plan should be passed just because he wants to get it off his plate and move forward. In reality that would be a big step back and the voters who actually have brains will not be happy.

That said, government has no business being in health care. We already have Medicaid, which we all pay for one way or another, including the millions of seniors whose Social Security is reduced by $110 each month for Medicare. Medicaid could be much better and I believe it is needed to help those who are TRULY indigent; if illegals were not provided with Medicaid all of us would be better off financially.

here is my concern if not totally repealed. there are strange oddities all through the bill that is NOT related to health care which need to go. there are also requirements for health care many don't know are there. for example on pages 1000-1004 of oamacare where it calls for RFID internal chipping to receive benefits. things such as this totally need to go. not hearing anyone mention these things. this new garbage appears to be an oamacare look alike with the same evil foundation of government control still exists.
