I struggle with a 7.25 hour job it is time to raise the minimum wage.

I've been out of work for the first time in my life for 3-4 months struggling to find a decent salaried job. I just moved to PA from NJ and may have to move again to find better wages. The rents are too high for the low salaries. Something's gotta give!

Raise the minimum wage please how can anyone live off of 7.25 an hour I make 12.50 and have kids and struggle I can't even afford to buy a vehicle of my own this 7.25 an hour is a bunch of bull how about the big money makers live off of 7.25 and hour and see how they do so please raise it it needs to be at least 15 an hour these days to survive

Why can't you people see the big picture the future of raising?? If people would quit doing what the government wants they would see. People wake up! Stop going for short term. Stop living as if tomorrow there is no future. What you do today affects us tomorrow and our children and then their children. Raising the wage will literally make the economy totally collapse. Its already close to collapsing. $12 an hour?? Really? U know what this will do? Gas prices will hit a high we have never seen before. Groceries will go up. Renting will go up. Cost of vehicles will go up. House prices will go up. Cost of living will be higher all around. We won't be any farther ahead. In fact we will be farther behind. And why? Because people can't look to the future. They just want the now. Be smart and think!!!

Raise minimum wage please. I'm a single mom of 2 and on food stamps. I want to get off government assistance. And not struggling to pay my bills and take care of my kids..

Increasing minimum wage by such a drastic amount will only hurt the economy. We will end up in the same place we are right now, where people (like me) who are being paid minimum wage are struggling to get by. Employers will be forced to cut hours, lay people off, raise the cost of their products, etc. And if they raise minimum wage 4.75$/hour then ALL people should get a 4.75$/hour raise (which I believe is what does happen, thus hurting businesses.

What about the people already making above minimum wage are they going to increase our wage as well. I am a state certified water plant operator and only make $19 HR. I believe if you want to make more money work harder to advance yourself as I did.

I have been on both sides of this poll! As an employee, of course I want to be paid $15/hr. As an employer, small business owner, If Minimum wage was $15/hr, I would be out of business. I think minimum wage should have standardized increases that are evaluated regularly by a mainstream board, consisting of employees & employers so that equal sides are heard prior to any changes!!!
