Emotionally speaking, Nikki is a better match for Victor. She might be blinded by love but, eventually, she sees right through him. On the other hand, Victor has huge respect for Ashley's business savvy and brilliant mind. She can go toe-to-toe with him and see him coming a galaxy away. Unfortunately, she also gets deeply wounded whenever she gets involved with him. I think Victor needs someone fresh and new. Not a teenager, not a dowager. Someone he respects and admires, whom he may not have noticed, except casually but, somebody who will make a "statement". Ultimately, he And Nikki are going to migrate towards each other, and, Jack and phyllis will reunite after having exhausted all their resentment. The more you love someone, the more it hurts. Otherwise, you would not care. Scott with Abby, Nick with Sharon (she knows him so well), and Adam with Chelsea. Michael Muhney and Melissa Claire Eagan always have fabulous chemistry together. I would like to see Ashley with Ravi. There's a spark here.

Is it against society now to portray a couple who have been together for years to be able to work out rough times and continue to be together without involving a third party? Interference from a third party never solves anything. Could this not be an example how a relationship CAN work rather than sending a negative message.
