I happend to see this and thought I would set the record straight. I know a lot about social media, it is a wonderful tool but you clearly have no understanding of the complexities on how it works. I suggest you put down the burger and educate yourself. I have not tried either place but will do so when next in Chicago. If 15,000 people did participate that would have been a wonderful thing.
I have nothing invested in this contest what so ever and have no allegiance to fatsos. As I said earlier Big Guys has a great burger. My issue is that in watching this contest I think you guys are cheating. It's impossible to get 2500 people locked and loaded to all vote in a 2 hour span. Let alone even after their first 6000 votes.
What does the size of the shop have anything to do with the abilities to pay somebody to calculate votes with the use of a robot?... When I came two big guys this past Saturday for their sausage fest at least three of the employees working there reminded me to vote for them 4 best burger and I'm telling you there were a ton of people there... if even half of them voted at that point for big guys it would account for a ton of those votes... Get over yourself Fatso's you got a good little joint look big guys is better and the people have spoken...

Big Guys had 14 minutes of airtime on WGN, a huge festival, tons of advertising, radio time, and we promoted to our 12,000 Facebook Fans continuously this week. No matter what we did, Fatso "robotically" answered every vote we received two fold. Big Guys votes are real. In order to beat the robots we waited until the last minute and then had the entire Westside vote at once. Fatso's did not promote this contest online since the 3rd round? How can they get so many votes without as much as a post? Look at Big Guys Facebook, it's been a relentless pander for votes, and no chance were we going to lose to robots. Come eat at Big Guys, see why really do have the best burger.
I did indeed vote for Fatsos early last week but I went to Big Guys as well and thought it was a great burger. However, to see 2200 votes go to Big Guys in 1.5 hours is obviously somehow an planned out manipulation of the system. Not possible to have 2200 separate people simply waiting to vote in the last hour.
Yes big guys did it....been watching this poll all week..fatsos alway were suspiciously 1000 ahead...they underestimated how great big guys burgers are and that big giys obviously waited to the last minute to have thier loyal customers vote...the one way to truely beat a computer which is clear as day what they did..went to fatsos to check them out...staff was very nice and the fries were yummy...but as far as burgers?..get the fuck outta here!...Big Guys has such as fresh tasty cheeseburger...no comparison at all...Big guys deserves to win hands down.

Congratulations Big Guys you deserved it. I think your followers figured out that your competitor was cheating from the beginning- I guess it's Karma. Again your cheerleaders was smart to pass the word to friends and family to vote the last few hours- All I can say is try the burger it's great - it is made with pride, fresh quality ingredients and love. Fatso's burger may be good I can't say because honestly I have not tried it. I have never heard of them- so if and I say if they have not cheated in the past then I wish them luck because they are the 2nd best which says a lot about them.

Tried voting for Fatso's but your rigged system did not register my vote. Watched the sausage place go up by 1000+ They could not get that much in a week. Pretty sad sorry Fatso's you were screwed. Sausage guys be less obvious next time.

Big Guys is far and beyond the best burger. They actually make their burger from scratch and never use frozen patties!!! Don't know about not being a Chicagoan if you have never been to Fasto's because before this I have never even heard of them before. I have lived on the West-side, North-side and South-side and like I said never even heard of them before. So yes proud born Chicagoan for Big Guys!!!!
The Double Fatso with Cheese is the best piece of meat that I have ever put in my mouth! Except for my husband of course! Big Guys is also good, but Fatso's is iconic - if you have not been there, you are not a Chicagoan!
I am from NY, but travel to Chicago on business a few times a year. I went to Fatso's on the suggestion of a buddy who lives there and their burger is AMAZING - no nonsense, old school delicious! I can't wait to get back and inhale a few thousand calories there!

Considering all the negative 1 star reviews for nasty food and bad customer service this place gets on Yelp, it's amazing Big Guys made it this far. Glad to see Fatso's Last Stand kicking their ass.
FATSO'S is mouth-watering good. Definitely beats those Cheval burgers, even though those are good too.

How wonderful!!! The smashed burger is simply the best. It is so delicious - the fried eggs and grilled onions are fantastico!!! It's my very favorite!
Great outdoor space - love the egg option!!! Fries - generous and cooked to perfection. Love the drink choices including Green River. Staff hardworking and friendly!!! Highly recommend!!!

Just saw Big Guys on TV for their Sausage Fest so I went in to try it out. The guy that took my order was so nice and told me about the contest so I figure I'd try out the burger. It was juicy, tender, and delicious. Going back to try the entire menu.

I've tried both, both are good with affordable prices. The difference between the two are: Big Guys has far better service, the nicest employees, Fatso's has more seating, but as for the burger, Big Guys wins. They hand packed the burger right in front of me and cooked it to order. It was perfectly cooked and the toppings were all fresh. Good luck to both.
