Should Westport ban tents at Compo Beach?

I'm with Seth: some kind of segregation. Maybe a fee for taking unnecessary space?

I think a size restriction is a good idea so they do not limit visibility. The comments are right-big tents encourage party like setting up for the day. I do also think a limit on the number of day passes sold would help.

At first I thought what a ridiculous concept making the tent people set up towards the back of the beach. But, I get it.
It does take up a lot of room. I can't see them really fighting for freedom as to where they put up their tents. So, why not compromise and make this s workable for everyone.

I like seth's idea of tents at the back. I don't have a tent but it's actually a positive to see people being sensitive to sun exposure. I haven't done more than an umbrella but this year -- because of the meds I'm on I cannot be exposed in the sun, so I have been lurking in shadows! Im sure a balance can be struck!

The idea of having tents relegated to the back of the beach would be a good compromise, as well as a height and size restriction. Beach umbrellas have always been the answer..
    it's not Campo but Compo.!

Thanks for taking on this issue, Dan. I've been thinking about it a lot.
