Placing restrictions and curfews won't do much to solve the hundreds of calls that happen after midnight. I do have a full time job, but that is not enough to provide. If not in the proper establishment, then were do you think everyone will go? Russ Jehl, I do not believe you are helping the actual problem. It seems like your only solution is targeting people with jobs. Changes don't need to be so drastic to were you're choking people out of their income. These late night calls from clubs will only be replaced by more calls from somewhere else. How can you not see crimes such as prostitution will only increase. So thanks for this ill- thought out proposal.

How many runs are to Friemann Square? How many runs are to the Fort Wayne Truck Plaza? How many To the rescue Mission? The list goes on and on. Should we close all those?

This does not seem to be about the community. It seems more like a vendetta Jehl has with these clubs. They are not to blame for crime and violence. If he cared about that, allow police to be in those bars just like other non sexually oriented bars. Or better yet, visit the hotels that sit next to some of these clubs. Don't interfere with people's income and way of life. Is Jehl for the people or just for himself and his real estate deals? Don't force your morals on us and restrict legitimate small businesses. Bad move here and slippery slope!

Jehl is not leading properly. Lots of women including single mothers make money at these clubs after midnight to pay their bills and feed their kids. Government should not be THIS RESTRICTIVE ! What kind of city council is this?

Close at 12 am dude is nuts I don't even venture out to clubs or bars there is not much of a night life in Fort Wayne to speak of as it is u think there selling sex at theses places get a grip dude it is a topless bar not a brothel I can't walk in with a hundred dollars and walk out with a happy ending where ever there are drunk people there will be police after all why try and cut back on the cities biggest income which is the judicial system party one night spend the next 2 years on probation antibuse and classes thinking for a change thousands of dollars will be lost each day because u wanna close at midnight because morally u find it wrong u r one of them people that u r daddy should have taken u out back and beaten u with a wooden stick to knock some sense into u we live in a free country right free to do what we want or in ur eyes and many others the people are free to move about as they please as long as they stay between the lines of another person's desire let's give it up to another person turning this country from the land of the free and the home of the brave into the land of the controlled and the home of then inslaved

I don't think that they should have to close at midnight. We don't force other businesses to close at midnight. I understand that some people are opposed to having them at all, however that being said, if you don't like them don't go to them. Problem solved. The crime some claim that this would alleviate will just move to other venues. I truly believe that this proposal is just another thinly veiled effort to force someone else's moral beliefs into law... if these venues were unwanted in the community then they wouldn't have a clientele and would have closed of their own accord.. come on folks it's 2017 not 1955. We need to get away from forcing morality into people's lives.

Republicans are supppsed to be about freedom and entrepreneurship and they want to close businesses and put people out of work? If we are going to dictate if a business can stay open based on how many times police are called to those establishments then what is does smiley Russ propose we do about the public school system, lol. If Russ Is that board that he had to start closing businesses then I propose we give Russ his walking papers next election.
