Should NASCAR implement mid-week Cup races?

One of the few decisions NASCAR has gotten right lately. In an attempt to be cosmopolitan they have deluted the attendance base by leaving the small tracks behind and building huge tracks with event not race fans. All the other changes have further killed the loyalty of the fan base. As a 50 plus yr fan we guit going to races except the Late Model Stock race at Martinsville. Fortunately they have not messed much with that class. I use to spend SatAns Sun watching races....now I check out the last 10 minutes , if I think about it. I do not see a NASCAR being around in 10 years and it is all self inflicted.

If NASCAR wants more fzns and viewers they need to stop over manipulating and micro managing. I quit watching when Dale Sr could crash people to win and nothing happened. But if a Ford won, NASCAR changed tech rules to slow them down. It was bullshit.

Mid week races may get more tv viewers but hardly any attendance. People have to work. Most travel to weekend races. Not practical if you want people in the stands. NOT the way to better the sport. I personally don't see the need for more change in fact I'd like to see you undo some of the stuff you've done. Segment winners format sucks. So many restrictions suck. Taking driver personalities away or face fines suck. I've lived fifteen minutes from Talladega track and no longer even go the racing is so restricted. So predictable here. Lots of lead changes and THE BIG ONE OR TWO OR THREE

It is not a good idea....if they want more eyeballs, they need to go back to racing!! Also, lower the ticket prices, the race track makes plenty of money off of food and beverage sales to make up for the ticket prices. I have already decided to stop watching due to all the dumb ass rule changes and the way they decide the champion....go back to the good ol days of real racing!!

My comment or opinion given the rule change every whim by the powers to be should be governed by people who actually drove a race car, not by some family member or somebody who just went to college.

I really hate the current system, go back to where if you wreck you cam male repairs and go back out, go back to the 43 cars.

No. That would be night racing which I don't like and would result in a host of logistics problems for the fans. Shorten the races, cut the engine size, (V6?) and lighten the cars. Make 'em racier.

Today's nascar isn't worth a flip anyway! To much money to buy your way in. there are far more better drivers at your local tracks that will never get the chance because somebody with lots of money bought there kid a ride and they can't drive in the first place and have to school them to remember to turn left.

Cut NASCAR restrictions on owners, let the build cars to compete, and stop the restrictor plate races. Let them build race cars, and race.

most folks have to work thru week....how many gonna take day off to go to race....if a night race they run so late young fans gotta go to school next day and parents haveta get up to work....my opinion only.... is it would hurt more than help

Why not reduce the number of races, if you don't have any to compete with Hockey, Basketball, Football, and Baseball?

    More sometimes isn't better.

Simple rules of supply and demand still work. Quality over quantity. Just my $0.02 worth
