NO , Steve Burton would have done what the writers told him to do. Steve Burton was shot before due to telling them to drop the weapon. Go back and watch some of the old episodes. Sam should have stayed put.

I agree with Carol. Jason was shot, because he didn't shoot first. He came in with his weapon drawn, had the advantage...but didn't shoot. Instead , he tells the guy to drop his weapon. Steve Burton would have shot first, and asked questions second!
If Sam didn't show up the way she did Jason wouldn't have gotten shot. She should have minded her own business n stayed put.

Yes definitely Sam's fault. Jason told her to stay he would be right back. She didn't listen she went there yelling his name knocking him off his game. Sam's supposed to be this great PI, she knew better. The old Sam would never have done that. She simply didn't trust Jason enough to take care of it. She put Jason, Sonny and Max in danger. Now Sonny may never get out of the mob because he won't trust any of the Families because of Sam.

Jason told her to "stay put" he had it under control. She comes running in yelling his name. She has been around the business long enough that she knows better. If she had to go there then slither in quietly
