Some Florida residents in Irma's path left animals outside caged or tied to trees when they evacuated. Should those people be prosecuted for animal abuse?

Yes they should be prosecuted, they knew this storm was going to hit there, knew about when it was going to hit, knew it was going to be bad. They chose to leave their pets tied up outside, locked up in cages. Pets depend on you for everything, they love unconditionally, always there for you and they were betrayed by the ones they loved and trusted. There's no excuse for leaving your pet behind, no excuse for betraying and abandoning your pet to sit there terrified wondering what they did wrong for you to leave them to a certain, terrifying, slow death! Prosecute and fine them!

I Think That Anyone That Leaves Any Animal Tied Up To A Tree Or Left In A Cage Should Be Prosecuted.

if tied or in cages, yes . prosecute to above the law. heavy fines. this gives animals no chance of survival at all & i'm not a die hard animal lover but at least give them a chance to make it on their own. about the same as murder.

I think the owners should be put in the gage with them and left there until it clears up.

I don't think they should be prosecuted. Fine them BIG TIME!!!! After all they didn't leave them to be caught in the storm. Most of the yes votes are probably die hard animal lovers.
