if weed cannot kill you and cocaine can... why do we get in more trouble for having weed on us than cocaine

Marijuana should have been legalize recreationally a long time ago. 18 and older. science shows how it can solve and/or help health problems. And on top of that everybody needs a little puff every now and then.

I have seen with my own two eyes patients in need of medical marijuana and the Dr. Have to tell them... I'm sorry my hands are tied. Why should ANYTHING BE REFUSED TO A SICK OR DYING PATIENT! STOPS SEIZURES. Helps cancer patients with nausea....however it's OK to drink whiskey until you pass out at home. This is the areas Government should mind their own business.

A Government (HHS) agency holds a patent for Cannabis With Medical Value while holding Cannabis a Schedule 1 With No Medical Value.

    Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants

    Abstract
Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention. A particular disclosed class of cannabinoids useful as neuroprotective antioxidants is formula (I) wherein the R group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3, and COCH.sub.3. ##STR1##

Why aren't the politicians voting for their constituents? It is clearly time to stop big pharma's money train and go green, literally!!!

  • David Michel - 7 years ago

Support for legalizing medicinal cannabis is getting to the point where it's overwhelming! The problem is getting the politicians to vote the way their constituents want. Go to our website and find out how you can help us persuade them.

Our economy could grow so much with this because of the amount of people that are for it. I have severe nausea that no doctor I've seen has been able to figure out and one of my friends brought candy back from Colorado and ive never had anything that made that feeling go away and not cause other crappy side effects. This could help people from all ages and our state as a whole.

I have rheumatoid arthritis which is very painful and debilitating. I struggle to walk to the mailbox every day. I went to Colorado on vacation and bought a sucker and gummies. I literally watched my pain/inflammation go away and was able to hike for a total of 10 miles. We need access to this "medication" as it would help so many with so many health issues.

My mother started taking the oil shortly after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. A year later, they can no longer find any cancer on scans. Of course big pharma does not want you to know that because chemo would become a thing of the past.

Medical is just that. It is in a medical used form; pill, capsule, solution, etc. Medical use is not rolling and smoking a joint.

  • K. Andrew - 7 years ago

I believe if I can go to a bar and get wasted and have the choice to drive or uber then I believe I should have the right to smoke a joint and decide to drive or uber. They need to legalize it medical and recreational but have restrictions about, like no driving while smoking and be 21+ to smoke it

As long as tobacco is legal in any format, there is absolutely no valid argument for Marijuana to be illegal. As long as big pharm is able to pedal their poisons to keep people sick rather than cure disease to increase profit, there is no valid argument for Marijuana to be illegal.

  • Edward - 7 years ago

How in the world can someone be opposed to medical marijuana? What possible argument could there be against it? Maybe all the people who voted no work for pharmaceutical companies?

  • Real talk - 7 years ago

The government needs to keep their filthy hands out of the business of health care when it comes to people making decisions about their health. Marijuana should've been legal in Tennessee a long time ago. The politicians here need get with the program and stop being so backwards bc of their greed. I say we the people should overthrow our govt like they do in other countries, just to let them know we are the ones who can vote them in and kick them out at the same time.
    Make it legal!!!

I have chronic daily migraines. I have been legally drugged by physicians to no avail. I have been hospitalized and I have had simulators implanted in my head. My pain has not improved. A year ago I was visiting a state that has legalized medicinal marijuana and was able to try a spray oil. I spent a week pain free. I felt a miracle had happened. I do NOT believe in recreational marijuana. I DO believe we have a tremendous need for medicinal marijuana.

  • Nurse unknown - 7 years ago

I have been a oncology nurse for 11 years and I can say without a doubt that cannabis and it's products can be of great help. I also know that there are other medical diagnosis that it would help with. As long as the doctors are prescribing it good reasons it can be a benefit.
