The key word is should. Not A North Korean demand or face punishment. Dictator Trump

I think that the media should just stop showing everybody who kneels, and focus on football. That is what we came to watch. If we wanted politics we would watch the news. Football is an escape.

I still have sand in my %$#& crack from Desert Storm in 1991. You darn straight I'm standing for the National Anthem. I'm jumping up each and every time I hear it played.

The Supreme Court ruled in 1943 that no one can be forced to say or stand for the Pledge Of Allegiance or the National Anthem. And no one can be punished for refusing to stand or recite.

The flag represents not only our country but the constitutional right to not be thrown to the ground, handcuffed with a gun pointed at your head with someone yelling "move and I'll blow your head off" just because their skin maybe darker than the person standing next to them.

When you try to protest but offend others at the same time you take the focus off of the point you are trying to make. Pledging to the flag and showing respect to our country is a time for us to come together. What the players are doing is not going to make anyone get behind their cause because it so offensive.
They should show real strength next week by standing and finding another way to get people to understand their prospective. Their actions are only making things worse and creating more division.
If you listen to all the talk shows the only question is if it is right or wrong, they are making no progress for their cause.

Why should an employer force an employee to stand for the National Anthem when there are those in this country are still being oppressed. Unless this country is all for oppression, I guess after all that is how this country was founded i through the Manifest Destiny. So maybe this country is still trying to operate this way. Which means there are some of us that are still not free!

I am an active duty service member. I do believe everyone should stand when playing the national anthem out of respect, but nothing should be required by rule. While I do not agree with the method of protest, I respect the right to do so.
