Do you support the Titans in the wake of the national anthem protests sweeping the NFL?

I don't have a problem with them wanting to protest. What I have a problem with is how they are doing it. They need to find another way to protest not during a game not during the anthem or the flag when it makes it look completely different than what they are saying. Actions speak louder than words. I also don't see anything changing just for the simple fact that they are kneeling except that they are losing fans. Everyone I have talked to has the same disgust that I do in that they are going about it the wrong way. The NFL better wake up and put a stop to it or there won't be an NFL. These players will have to go out into the real world and get real jobs. Wonder how long they would stay employed if they started protesting during those jobs?! Find another platform, not the football field!!

You are free to choose, but you're not free from the consequences of your choice!

Just maybe people will understand that any protest for any reason is not to make you feel comfortable but to open your eyes to the uncomfortable and make a change for Unity, Equality, Justice, and Liberty for ALL and not just for some.

"They haven't turned their back on the flag, they are kneeling. Kneeling is a form of supplication. We kneel in church when we pray, we kneel when we are begging for help. We kneel when we are feeling hopeless and are pleading for a reason to feel hope. We do not kneel to show disrespect.

The Constitution allows for the right to peaceably assemble. This is part of the First Amendment. The National Anthem was written by a slave owner who was against freeing slaves. He also incorporated a verse that glorifies killing runaway slaves. This makes it the perfect moment for a black man to peacefully protest how his brethren are being treated.

The players kneeling isn't meant to disrespect. They are kneeling in supplication, begging for us to wake up. They haven't turned their backs they are kneeling - to a flag that is supposed to represent freedom and equality. They are kneeling, asking you to set aside your personal feelings about protest, and to see the pain so many others are in. You don't have to be poor to have empathy for those with less than you. You don't have to be living in fear everyday to understand how horrifying it must be to feel that way. They are kneeling, in supplication to a flag, and a country, that so far has let his people down. You don't even have to agree with their reasons, but you have a choice. We can reach out a hand to try to help find a solution, or we can keep screaming "it isn't fair to try to make me feel bad".

Our amazing military pledge to defend the Constitution against all enemies. Not the flag, not the national anthem..the Constitution.

I support their right to protest peacefully, and I will hope AND WORK for a time when it is no longer necessary."

I watch NFL football to get away from politics and the worries of social justice and all the other problems in the world. Sports is entertainment, nothing else. Everybody knows that. We're sick and tired of those who insist on pushing their personal agenda no matter what it is or how noble. There are a lot of very fine men in the NFL, some who are my friends, who do a lot of good off the field...but that's where it should stay...off the field. Keep the worries of the world off the field too.

So many Ignorant Liberals out there.

  • Bill - 7 years ago

    Listen, losers!

I don't believe any intelligent person in this polling is saying that the NFL players (or anyone else, for that matter) don't have a legal right to peacefully demonstrate how they feel. Last I heard the First Amendment was still on the books.

The point is, however, that they need to be protesting on their on time and dime. Most of us couldn't give a rat's ass about hearing their whining about mythical police mistreatment.

They should get out and obtain honest jobs as so many honorable black people are doing and stay away from the street corners at night, selling their drugs and God knows whatever else.

They need to be aware that they are potentially about to destroy a very fine American sport in the process.

And besides, we also have a legal and moral right to NOT buy tickets to their sorry football games if they continue to disrespect our heritage. .

  • Bill - 7 years ago

I've always believed in giving any person a second chance.

Allow the Titans and other NFL players to reconsider their traitorous position in not respecting Old Glory and the Anthem.

If they continue to disrespect our flag and consequently, to also disrespect the men and women who have fought and died to protect our freedoms, then a roll call should be taken, and every damned one of them who continue to spit on the flag and our heritage should be dismissed immediately.

Hire new football players who can support the Stars and Stripes and our National Anthem, and possibly they might be able to have a winning season in the process.

Looks to me like 5521 hypocrites. Not agreeing with ones right to peacefully protest in AMERICA is like not agreeing that one should be able to breath. Taking a knee was never, has never and WILL NEVER be about those inanimate objects (a flag and a song) Americans worship, but it has ALWAYS been about LIBERTY AND JUSTICE, JUSTICE, JUSTICE, JUSTICE for ALL! These players peacefully kneel and youre crying can be heard in Anartica, but black and brown people being killed by cops with no repercussions, and you can hear a rat pissing on cotton, with your SILENCE. I thought, according to the song, America was the home of the brave? Guess we're still the home of the SLAVE. Still running around with that same old slave owner mentality. Unfortunately for some of you, the role of the Negroe has reversed. Let that sink in.

First of all, this protest is about racial inequality and injustices happening in america. Listen to interviews with players and coaches before you start making assumptions as to why they are protesting. People are acting as if they are burning the american flag right in front of their eyes by kneeling for something they believe in. This isnt the first time sports has been used as a platform for protests. Stop making it about yourself and stop taking it personally when you may never endure any kind of injustice. Think of others before yourself for once. I stand by these players to bring to light a problem that people are uncomfortable talking about which is RACIAL INEQUALITY and INJUSTICE. Stop bashing people and start listening to them for once. Maybe you would actually understand where they are coming from and finally understand. These players have poured blood, sweat, and tears to get to where they are now. You dont simply go out and play to be in the NFL or NBA. You train and practice over years to advance to where you wanna be. These players are active in their communities whether its through donating their hard earned money or donating their time. Dont be so quick to right someone off because you don't like their stance on the field when they are truly sticking up for people that dont have the voice to be heard like they do. This only got worse with President Trump being light to it and claiming its about "Patriotism" not "Race". Well Mr President, you sir are wrong. The President has taken away everything that this protest was first about to begin with. I have lost faith and respect for our President. Most people probably don't remember but Trump told Obama to leave the NFL alone and stick to politics. Now we see Trump doing exactly what he told Obama not to do. That is Hypocrisy. I feel bad for all trump supporters. Trump can't form many sentences or speeches without repeating what he says over and over. I believe that shows a lack of confidence and intelligence.

On another note. His childish need to attack pro Athletes is beyond stupid when he has more pressing matters to deal with like the people effect by Hurricane Marie in Puerto Rico and the threat of war with North Korean.

Its time to stop and reflect on what's happening in America. If we can't unite then how can we call our country the "United States".

Dividing the country will only lead to ruin. I love this country and want to see it get stronger but this president has only showed us that appealing to the people rather than standing up for injustices is more important. Sadly people today are just blinded by mass media and their own ignorance. Im willing to listen and hear everyone's side before making my stand. Everyone should do the same. I will be watching the games and showing my support to those who want to correct the systematic injustices going on In America. The greatest country in the world.

I've been a Fan since I was a kid age of 7 and I have been sickened by what I'm seeing in the NFL Sucker league . I have as now quit watching and will no longer watch or go to any more games . I had rather watch soccer and golf now .

All I can say is Titans go back to Texas because you have lost my respect! And yes they are disrespecting our Country and Nation and all the Soldiers who fought to give them the freedom to make a choice to play football and make millions while Veterans and their families barely get by. It is disgraceful and I say to all the NFL Teams and anyone that refuses to reverence the National Anthem and Flay of the United Stayes of America because they need to make a statement. We as Citizens of this USA will never agree on things but we should be more respectful to those who have sacrificed their lives and families for us. So I hope The Staye of Tenneessee will deal with this type of behavior. There should never be a display of this kind of behavior in a sports game of any kind.

  • Allen - 7 years ago

We should give them a new name. The "Titanics", because they are sinking even though have very wealthy passengers who are lead by folks who cannot figure out which way the iceberg is gonna flow. Instead of hanging out in the locker room like Girlie-men they should have come out with American flags. Yes, the could have been America's team but instead they chose a scheme. They must have never read Leon Trotsky. He was best at controlling population groups. He was a "white" guy. This is not a racial problem but an intellectual failure.

  • Samdo - 7 years ago

Once a Titan Fam even through their difficult seasons but NO more. I am apauled and ashamed of their action toward our Nations Anthem and Cointry. How dare you disrespect our Veterans who have fought and gave their lives for you to give you the freedom to make millions while their families barely get by. I say to you if you don't like our Country theme GET OUT! You may not like President Trump but that gives you NO Right to slap our Veterans and their families in the face like that and treat them like they have waisted their time. I lost a spouse due to Agent Orange and I am very upset in your Action. You Ned to repent to God and to this Nation.

I hope that the NFL goes Bankrupt because of this blatant disrespect for a great nation that has afforded all Americans who want to succeed real opportunities. This false narrative that is continuing to spread because of a very few bad cops is toxic and is spreading hatred and dividing this country more than OUR POTUS ever will. If the players want to force awareness and make real changes the need to do something productive in the communities that are affected the most by what they are complaining about. Lift these communities up, help guide the young. Go to the police stations the so called source of your anguish and open a meaningful dialog about your grievances. Maybe in turn you could learn about the split life and death decisions that these brave men and women face daily while protecting these same communities in times of crisis. I do not believe any of you overpaid, ungrateful, whining babies were ever taught respect. Your actions are disgraceful. Those who defend our country and everything that the flag stands for deserve respect. Our flag stands for LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL AMERICANS! No more of my hard earned money will ever be spent supporting any aspect of the NATIONAL Football League. I hope that our State and Federal Government remove all financial asisstance from the league. Find a better way to express your frustration. Stand and respect our flag, our military, our country. We are all in this together.

  • J Townsend - 7 years ago

How many times does it have to be said this protest is not about respecting or disrespecting the flag? Please listen to those who are protesting and quit being ignorant. Many of the protestors are veterans so dear veterans it is not disrespecting what you fought for. It is a demonstration of the freedom you protected.

I received a folded flag just this year for my father who was a WWII veteran. I also lost two cousins in the military. I have many very close friends who are retired military, so I personally have great respect for the jobs that our armed forces people perform. Trump and some only want to recognize "rights" that they agree with. That is not how democracy is defined. I recall when a public prayer was part of the pre-game activities at some games. That disappeared without much resistance but some politicians still say "God Bless America." Why? Trump has more problems with people who kneel during a song as opposed to those who scream for violence while flying a Confederate Flag. That flag calls for unity among those who only want it for people who look like them. By the way, my father said that when returning home after his honorable discharge during WWII, he and other Blacks were not allowed to ride in the passenger car on the train. In my opinion, women and minorities who support Trump totally defy logic. The GOP will spend many years trying to convince some in society that Trump does not represent the mindset of The Republican Party. Good luck with that.

Ok so they protest injustice of cops killing blacks!! Really??? Why isn't anyone doing anything about the black on black crime that's 91% of the killing itself but who am I to say anything over paid over privileged cry babies!!!! Bye Delanie as you said to your very own fan base guess what That's your meal ticket ask and you shall receive

What the NFL does not understand. NFL games and other sports are what we watch to escape political disagreements. We watch or attend with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. During a game, rooting for the team we follow pulls us all together. The same with our flag and the national anthem. We are drawn together as we show our respect and gratefulness to the nation that offers all of us unlimited opportunity, no matter our background or circumstance. To see the Titans remain in the locker room last Sunday was very disappointing. Doing that was not a solution. It was wimping out. Sorry Titans. I finally came back to pull for you after you finally got rid of Jeff Fisher, who never cared if his players were gangsters, as long as he could win. Now, you have very good players and a great coach, but I can't respect you any longer. Not just the Titans, but for all the NFL: so long forever. You have betrayed your fan base.

  • Juana McCarver - 7 years ago

I really wish people stop saying the NFL is disrespectful the flag. As news reporters you guys should be you guys should be publicised The glad code, instead of taking a pole. The first amendment gives everyone the right to protest peacefully. No one has the right to dictate to other people what they should or should not do. If you don’t want your Titans belongings then good give them away. You think because you return your product that mean something. Let’s just deal in truth; most of you guys are buying beer or food doing the National anthem at the game. When I watch the game everyone is not standing so stop all the chaos and confusion, racism, and hate. You want to talk about disrespecting how about those that were carrying the flag in Charlottesville. What everyone should be protesting is the number #45 President did not respond to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

  • Kathy - 7 years ago

The Titans and the other NFL players are not protesting the flag or the anthem! they are protesting the injustice of black people being murdered by police! if you correct your child for bad behavior, it doesn't mean you don't love them. i'm very disappointed in the military people condemning this peaceful protest. did they fight for the flag and the anthem, or for the freedom they represent? if it's the latter, then they need to applaud these brave players, not hate them for standing up for what they believe is right! this issue is a manufactured distraction by Trump to distract us from the Russia investigation and now Russia is working along with him to divide this country even further! what is happening to this country?????

  • Carolyn - 7 years ago

Show this loyalty to our CREATOR. The flag is a piece of cloth that is used/seen on shoes, head scarfs, pens, notebooks, blankets, swimsuits and others things. Do you stand/kneel when you see the design on other things. Adults change your priorities. This is a crazy issue started my a crazy man.

  • Wade - 7 years ago

I think the protesters are the dumb ones they will fall for the trump bait evertime he new it would cause more protest just one comment and you are going to look likes fools because the majority will go with pairotism and your cause will be washed away with anger what a shame players have many ways of makeing postive changes to real problems but they are wasting there voices on something they are for sure to come away with looking like a bunch of lossers

  • Michael Thomas Joseph - 7 years ago

Shut the he'll up. It is not disrespectful. So ur saying it's not disrespectful to treat black people the way they have Ben treated.. get out of here with all this b.s. I support the players 100%

  • John - 7 years ago

I served in the U.S.Army. It's very disrespectful to kneel during the National Anthem. You need to get off of your knees and your butts and show a little respect to the flag. A lot of men and women have either died or was injured while fighting for your freedom. I've been a Steelers fan since the early70's, and I'll never watch another football game. You all are a disgrace. GO TRUMP GO!!!!!

  • Ricky Steamboat - 7 years ago

Go Titans! Don't support us you crybabies. Bye indeed. Trump is the absolute worst thing to happen to this country and when he barks you dummies bite. I thought Bush Jr was stupid but holy cow. Go support a man who tweets every ten minutes about how great he is and enjoy him and your well done steak with ketchup on the side you shmucks. Go Titans go!

  • Dale Blair - 7 years ago

It's not even logical to give a collective middle finger to the anthem, flag, veterans, and all other Americans. If these overpaid crybabies want to protest the police, go picket in front of the police station. I'd be happy to sell my season tickets to one of their Antifa or BLM thug buddies so they can have an anti-American love fest.

  • Larry - 7 years ago

Just goes to show none of them loses has never been handed a folded flag before evidently

  • Jeremy - 7 years ago

I'm a true patriot of my country not our government and these player's can protest off the field or I won't be watch.and they are protesting racial equality isn't the black panther fist some of them raise racist? And at my job if I protest I'll be fired

  • Randy - 7 years ago

Most of you all are a special kind of stupid... This is happening because of social Injustice that has been happening for far to long. Regardless if you are offended everyone has a right to protest peacefully, I have family and friends that fought and died so that we as Americans have the right to speak our minds. I'm disappointed to call my self a Tennessean sometimes because of all the ignorant fools here.

  • Joe - 7 years ago

The 1st Amendment for those of you that don't know it.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  • Donna - 7 years ago

My goodness, look at all the racists lowlifes! Not one of their arguments is based in reality. They don't care if Trump makes fun of POWs. They don't care if people wave rebel flags, (one thing that is certainly a disgrace to the US and to the military). They don't care if vets are left to die at the VA. They didn't care when Tebow dropped to pray every 5 minutes. They don't care if vets take a knee for their fallen brothers. But let a decent young man of color take a knee for his fallen brothers and holy cow! They lose their minds. He's uppity, he should be grateful to stand in their presence and listen to that racist song that laments over killing freed slaves. Yes, indeed!

  • David - 7 years ago

I'll definitely support the Titans and the players who are protesting police violence, excessive force, and inequality. I hope they can open a few people's eyes to the serious issues in America today. The NFL has made such positive impacts on communities and I can't believe there are still ignorant people who think this protest is agaisnt the flag or our troops in any way. Listen to the facts and stop hiding your racism behind fake patriotism. We are all allowed to have our own opinions. If you want to stop watching the NFL, more power to ya.
I hope you're not one of the unarmed people murdered by police this year. If you were, wouldn't you like your murderer to be held accountable instead of given a paid vacation?

I considered buying a PSL and season tickets not now. I will spend my money on those that respect the flag and anthem. I'm not supporting those that think they have sport celebrity privilege and can get away with such disrespect. You have the right to protest but you don't have the right to disrespect the flag. You don't kneel, sit or lock arms that is disrespect. I'm a military retiree and if my son did or talks about kneeling like Matthews did I would take care of the issue at home and he no longer would play. This whole thing is setting back everything dr Martin Luther King has achieved. Our whole country this pass decade has gone downhill. God help us all

  • Tony Anderson - 7 years ago

Karpernick is a terrible quarterback and even worse protester. All of yall players complaining about inequality with him, while he benefits from the so called white privilege.... If you want to protest something, how about black on black crime in Chicago, etc... or how about donate & raise money for children's cancer research. Cancer is color blind & apparently yall arent. I feel sorry for you all NFLers

  • Cc - 7 years ago

If they want people to take them serious about a protest why not take a seat and forfeit the game after standing during pledge to flag and national anthem. You say the flag and anthem has nothing to do with this protest than why are you disrespecting them. Find another platform. Need to be on your knees in prayer for this trouble world.

  • Military Brat - 7 years ago

I have owned 4 PSLs & Season tickets since the Titan's came to Nashville. I even had tickets when they played at the Vanderbilt Stadium. I've sat in rain, snow, hot & cold. I've sat thru good years & a lot of bad & I've bought thousands of dollars worth of your Official NFL merchandise, along with thousands on your concessions. I literally feel like I've been your #1 Fan. However, I'm now officially DONE with not only the Titan's, but the Entire NFL. When Kaepernick started this over a year ago, I honestly believed that the Kneeling Crap would Never make its way to the South, Especially not to Nashville. Boy, was I ever so shocked on Sunday!! Shocked, Mad, heartbroken & totally disappointed!! Not only did my team let me down, but Amy Adams Strunk let me & her dad down!! I don't believe that Bud Adams would have ever done what she did! Being an Owner of 4 PSLs & season tickets every year, I feel that my money helps to pay the million dollar salaries that each Titan's player receives and in turn, they pretty much work for me. The minute the fans begin entering the stadium is the minute they are officially "On the Clock" at their Job. I feel that while someone is at work & on the job, they should Not be able to participate in any type of Political Stance, just like it is with my own Job & many jobs in this country. I am also from a very big Military family. In fact, my father retired from the US Army & he raised his US Flag, on the tall flagpole in his front yard, every single day of his life, until he passed away. Now I do the same. When the Titan's didn't even bother to come out on the field for our Anthem it was a Total Slap in the face to my father, along with Every Single Veteran in this Country! It made me Sick! I haven't watched Any NFL games since and I will continue to not watch for the remainder of the season. This false "Racial Injustice" narrative that Kaepernick Started should have been shut down when it was first started! Pig Cop socks & a "Castro" T-shirt told me everything I needed to know about his Fake cause! These Overpaid crybabies are Only paid to Play Football, Nothing Else!! If I wanted to see a Protest or hear about Politics I wouldn't even attend the game. I can easily stay at home & watch the News for that Crap! I pay them to play Football and Nothing More! They may have a "Right" to protest, but NOT on my dime Nor my time! I Am Sick of It! Therefore, I also have a "Right" to Boycott their Games & that is exactly what I intend to do! I am Selling my 4 PSLs as soon as this season is over & I will Not be returning for Anymore of their games this season! I am DONE! I actually wish the players would all go broke & at least then they could say they were "Oppressed"! #BoycottNFL

For the NFL owners and players who have shown disrespect to our flag and country, let's boycott the companies who provide the source of money to the NFL networks through advertising. Join me in sending a message to all.

  • Joe Sixpack - 7 years ago

I will neither watch nor attend a Titans or NFL game again. And, the same for the NBA if those overpaid thug criminals do the same thing.

Amy Adams, Roger Goodell, and the rest of the NFL owners support cop-killing, military-hating athlete thugs ONLY so they can make money. They are the real creeps.

    NFL can pound sand.

  • Randy - 7 years ago

Trying to figure out how to cover up this Titans tattoo on my leg. Most of the players can't even tell you what they're supposedly protesting. Terrible decision Adams family. Your dad would be disappointed. Go NASCAR ! I'm sure they're excited to get the former NFL fans and all the $ that come with them.

  • Ken - 7 years ago

I support the right of everyone to speak out about issues but I also have a right to not watch pro football anymore. How sad players could not deal with issues like this off the field of sport. Good bye Titans

  • joe - 7 years ago

The taking a knee protest that happened last weekend was in direct response to comments made by the president. The flag or the anthem are not the president. If you want to protest against the president that is your right. Just don't do it during the anthem, again that is NOT THE president .

  • Nancy - 7 years ago

I'll NEVER watch another NFL or NBA game! These so called players are really losers if they think they can turn their backs on our flag and our country! I will SUPPORT ONLY OUR MILITARY, and may the NFL AND NBA rot

  • Gary G (Poppy) - 7 years ago

I think these spoiled athletes should go to a military hospital before a game and tell these soldiers why they are not standing with their hands over their hearts and look them in their eyes while these heros are missing arms, legs and other countless injuries so they can be the crybabies they are.

  • Haywood Bass - 7 years ago

Nope. Cancelled my Sunday ticket, and will no longer attend games. I don't want to watch CNN all weekend, I want to watch football. Pay respect to the country that allows you NfL'ers to live such a lavish lifestyle. You are playing football for my entertainment, I could care less about your political view.

I think they are spoiled and selfish!! What has these players done to help their community? Besides bitch about how bad they have it!! My dream was to play in NFL but wasn't good enough if I had made it I sure as hell wouldn't complain about how bad my life is! Instead I'd be thankful for the opportunity to live a dream!!

  • Bill - 7 years ago

I served in the armed forces and took the oath to defend the constitution of the United States of America. I served to defend the rights of others, and to protect them from foreign and domestic terrorism. What the Titans did on Sunday was in no way offensive to me or my service. We don't serve the flag or an anthem because they Symbolize what makes our country so great; such as the right to have free speech, the right to bear arms, and many other freedoms that we enjoy that other countries do not have. To judge these NFL players, who are citizens with the same rights mind you, is not why I took my oath to defend this country. I took it so that when problems arise in our country, we do have the right to voice our concerns whether we are making millions of dollars, or living in poverty. What is missing in our country is not unpatriotic, or ungrateful people; but love enough for one another to understand people, and have enough care for what they are going through. As long as protests are peaceful, I have no problem with what they did on Sunday.

  • Peggy - 7 years ago

You can look at it however you want. I Will NOT support them, if they don't stand with respect , I don't watch.. They have rights and so do I. Except I'm not getting paid the big dollars, wonder how long that will last..

  • Dan - 7 years ago

We will not be watching, supporting or participating in anything related to the NFL or the Titan's. Don't agree with the players behavior, lack of respect and abuse of their positions as football players. Many ways to make a change, protest and set an example for the world to see but this is not the way to do it!! Taking a knee means NO MORE FOOTBALL!!! Going to use economic resources to make my point!!

  • Joe Sixpack - 7 years ago

Yes, Kaepernick and all his protesting friends prefer the "justice" and "equality" that Fidel Castro gave during his 40 years in power. That is why he wore a Tshirt glorifying him.

  • Joe Sixpack - 7 years ago

Shawn: you are the typical dimwit blowhard leftist that doesn't have a clue. Hint: the Bill of Rights—including your precious 1st Amendment—does not even apply to private businesses.

People are so dang stupid and completely ignorant of the US Constitution. Shawn, please take remedial civics class, you clearly were looking out the window during the first class.

Our Constitution guarantees the right to personal free peaceful protest. Through the 1st and 14th Amendment these players are standing up for the Social Injustice, Inequality, over-reach of law enforcement and the fundamental equal rights and equal protection under the law - these guarantees are not just for citizens - they are for every living breathing human being and that is why we choose to fight wars and go defend those that don't have the ability and resources that we do, it is why our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters sign up and make a choice that can lead to the ultimate sacrifice. It is so that humanity can and will have the benefit that we can stand proudly next to one another no matter what they choose and how they choose it, if they protest whether you choose to understand it or whether you choose to judge it - this is OUR Democracy. I am about preserving individual right as long as it doesn't affect or effect another's Civil Liberties. These players aren't turning their back to the symbols of our Democracy and they aren't disrespecting these symbols as representations of what makes us great as a nation, they are pointing out that due to these issues we can be much better. Let's stop digging out heals in the ground and standing in defiance in an effort to defend our positions and seek understanding, ask questions and provoke compelling conversation that DOES make us uncomfortable and drives us all to make changes. After all, isn't that what America and being a Patriot is all about? After all, no one enlisting is comfortable about the impending circumstances of their decisions but they are compelled and driven by the light of Lady Liberty and the promise of what that Statue has delivered for most of our families lineage.

I think the NFL is the one to blame as they ignore rulebook the books that states it is mandatory to stand at attention for anthem. They enforce socks rules but not anyhem? I say these billions $:made for these owners is why I boycott because not respecting our country even with its flaws , is not going to bring unity. Protest all you have too, but I don't have to watch, buy NFL products. Alienated fans is not a recipe for success

Protest for equality? Let's see the arrest record for every NFL player and the punishment they received. Let's see how unfairly they are treated.

The results of this poll depress me. Shame on us all. If taking a knee offends you, you are entirely missing the point. Talk about can't see the forest for the trees here, people.

For those who have attempted to change the narrative...please understand these protests that the players are participating in has everything to do with freedom and equality, the very thing this country stands for. So, instead of going along with the "disrespecting the flag" narrative and "cop-hating" narrative- try listening to the people who are protesting. Try to understand what others are saying and doing instead of getting angry and hating people you loved just a week ago. We must come together and work for the advancement of this country and our neighbors. Peace.

As you can see I’m a vet. And I support every nfl player who is taking a knee. I fought for that right the sameway I fought for all your ignorant asses right to go against them taking a knee. They aren’t disrespecting me or the flag they are doing this together to show how they are against their beliefs. Ohh and also I’m a law enforcement officer.

I don't support any team or anyone who does not respect or flag or our National Anthem. That shows total disrespect for our country.

Dear Titans, Delanie Walker just confirmed my commitment not to watch you this year....

  • Mark - 7 years ago

I've cancelled two games one in Houston one in Tennessee. We usually watch 60 games a year this year it's zero also we spend around $500plus a year in sports apparel at Christmas we are spending zero we've also told family not to buy us anything NFL #emptythestadiums #Boycottnfl

Hard to sympathize with a bunch of millionaire cry babies who think they are oppressed... LOSERS!
    Boycott NFL!!!

  • Joe Sixpack - 7 years ago

And, we need to BOYCOTT any business who sponsors the Titans. Also, show up and heckle any Titan who appears publicly. Isn't that my right to free speech, as these ignorant morons try to frame this cop-hatred?

  • Joe Sixpack - 7 years ago

Disgusting, overpaid, ignorant jerks. These are the same folks who love racist Kaepernick—the guy who wore pig/cop socks, a tshirt with Castro on it, and who does not even vote. I will never attend a Titans game again, mostly because Amy Adams joined with these cop haters. The entire Titans organization is a cop-hating, military-spitting, white-hating bunch of racists.

Then Rob,you would have to close every grocery store, every auto plant, every trucking company, hospital, restaurant, tire store ,airline and any other business that operates because I doubt very seriously if any of them play the national anthem before each work day. I would be willing to bet the Trump organization doesn't play the anthem before the start of each work day. Use common sense people. This is coming from a black man who stands for the national anthem because I was born here, grew up here and will probably die here. This is my country just as much as my non black friends. You can't force patriotism on anyone anymore than you can religion. That's what makes America America. If You don't agree with someone protesting then don't focus on them because you're wasting your chance to show honor to your country.

I would not have a problem with them standing arms linked together to show support but I do have a problem with then taking a knee DURING the National Anthem. They have the right to protest but why not show support by linking arms and not taking a knee. I have supported them in the good years and a lot of bad years. It really hurts to see them taking a knee during the National Anthem.
