It is my opinion that not only do they want to protect the image of the Democrats,...their own bosses (MEN OF POWER IN THE MEDIA) are probably running scared that they too will be accused., and their own sins revealed. The left has accused the President of being a sexual predator, because they themselves are the sexual predators, they have accused the President of colluding with the Russians, because they themselves are colluding with the Russians, they accused the President of not willing to accept the results of the election, when they themselves are not willing to accept the results. So, next time they accuse the President of some crazy act, you can be assured that they themselves are committing the act. My biggest problem with this whole mess, are the amount of people who are willing to look the other way when it is a Democrat, especially our very own Republican Party.

#Pedogate and the media are part of it, so are politicians, Police, religious leaders, etc. watch the Netflix documentary “The Keepers”. Chilling — watch your kids, watch sleepovers, and yes, watch your own family.

I know "all of above" answer would have been the most picked, but I think the real reason is NOT to tarnish the Democratic Party. They are trying to rebuild it and don't want anything to to get in their way.
