Should girls be welcome in Boy Scouts?

Honestly, I was in boy scouts growing up with my father. I believe adding females to Boy Scouts, Cub scouts will cause and issue in many troops. Instead of merging the two why don't the Girl Scouts add more activities that the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts do. The Troop leaders and Girl Scout leaders should communicate on what the two are doing. Both Scouts groups try to teach the kids in their program certain values and lessons. The difference is that one program is geared towards girls and one is geared towards boys. There is nothing wrong with that. Boys and girls are different. It is good for them to bond and make friends with those of the same gender. For one thing, that can make private conversations easier when it comes to topics that kids might not be comfortable talking about with the opposite gender. There is Venture Crew where they can mix as young adults.

When I was younger I never joined the girl scouts because all they did was sold cookies, I though the boy scouts would have been much funner because they got to go camping and hiking, all that fun stuff. So my suggestion for this topic is, instead of allowing the girls to join boy scouts, they need to merge the two groups so the girls and boys have the opportunity to enjoy what the other group has to offer.

It's called BOY Scouts, not CO-ED Scouts! There's already a program for girls.
