WANT TO FIX THE NFL: Start with the Titans!
If the Titans and NFL wants to increase viewers and supporters then they need to change with the times. They need to quit pampering and spoiling just players. They need to focus on their image and the fans who support them. They need to act like a professional National league.
You can't have a business doing what ever they want negatively, acting disrespectful, having employees embarrassing the business and having employees not following management advice and rules. As a billion dollar business they should be a great example.
    - They need to have extremely high standards for recruits, employees, players and management. It's not just how they play or work but how they perform on their off time. A zero tolerance policy for all who conduct themselves in violence, sexual harassment, drugs, breaking the law and rules. They need to act like a millionaires and billionaires that get paid to be the tip of the spear in all aspects. They should conduct themselves in a way that shows pride and respect in their business. They need to show they care about fans and people. They are failing partially because of their conduct on and off the field and supporters are tired of it. They want them to do what they get paid to do while being positive good role models and responsible mature employees.
    - The employees do have rights. It seems to me that players are wanting to raise awareness with issues. It seems the management stops players most of the time. They need to be able to use their platforms for good. The business leaders need to work something out with their employees so they can express themselves in a professional and clear manner. They shouldn't be giving negative opinions without facts. They are failing because people want to support wealthy celebrities making a difference for good and it sounds like management is prohibiting them. They need to have a discussion amongst themselves to fix this problem. However, remember the fans that pay the bills.
    - They need to really make differences with their time, money and platforms. Part of their failure is not giving back to the communities. People are tired of supporting a business that focus of themselves getting rich. While around the football business their are people suffering and communities getting worse. They could do more and supporters know it. What are they doing in their communities to really make a difference instead of doing small things just to promote the NFL. People can tell there is a difference.
    - Like any good busniess, you need to listen to customers, employees need to follow the rules and management needs to enforce the rules.
    - People have the right to protest or raise awareness. There is a time for everything. Protesting to the Natioanl Anthem is not the time as a National league. Americas favorite League! We need patriotism, a time to unite, a time for this country. We don't need division from millionaires during a time that all Americans are united together. It doesn't make any sense. I think the business will benefit more, if they are showing unity and patriotism. Especially, when you go overseas.
    - The NFL should stop taking money from the government. You want to help people then stop taking money from the people. You make billions so use your own earned money to fund the business. It's doesn't seem like the business needs the government money.

as of May 17 2017 NFL players have been arrested 855 times since 2000. That includes 215 DUI charges, 99 drug charges, 96 domestic violence cases and 71 assaults. It even includes two murders.

They think the laws don't apply to them, that's why they take a knee.

  • Micheal Bennet Lies! - 7 years ago

So protest about racial police brutality is on the rage. I don't think research supports it. I can understand there are a few prejudice people on both sides. But, I can understand that the race card gets over played and abused easily now days. Everyone in the media was so supportive of Micheal Bennett with his story of being harassed and scared for his life by police officers because of his race. Everyone thought there wasn't any video. Guess what didn't make the news. The video showing Micheal Bennett lied to everyone. Showing him using his wealthy nfl privilege to be identified and shaking hands with the cops saying he understood. The video showing him and why police should chase anyone doing the same thing. The cops were being gentle, polite, understanding, professional with him and letting him go. Micheal Bennet does not catch any heat for his actions and the media stays really quite about the truth. So, I hope we understand why Micheal Bennett takes a knee during games.

  • The NFL supports reducing punishments for crime - 7 years ago

Are you kidding me? When I ask people what they think of football players in the NFL, 2 things always get brought up The NFL players are really good at playing football and being overpaid athletes who get away with breaking the law. For guys that get paid millions, you would think that they would be a little more careful in public or social media. You would think they would be scared of losing their jobs or millions of dollars. They aren't scared becuase they know the NFL will protect them and they have money to protect themselves. Now, the NFL says they are supporting and trying to pass a bill that would reduce punishments from judges for different criminal acts. It's like drug dealers asking congress to pass bills that make it easier to push drugs out on the streets. Only in America people! This is crazy! In a world where people are becoming more disrespectful, becoming more violent, dying more from drugs are people trying to reduce punishments for crimes. We should be putting higher standards on people. Higher stanards on he wealthy. Higher standards on education. Really lowering standards for people who do drugs or other crimes. How about the NFL create free public organizations that help people get off drugs? How about the players going around in communities and trying to get people off the streets into rehab centers? How about the NFL will do something to get guns off the streets? How about they start NFL after school or community centers to get people to become better for their community? No that's to hard for the TITANS or The NFL, let's just fight for a bill that helps them get out of jail quicker or not be punished as harsh. How about NFL players sitting down with the police leaders and working with them to find solutions to police brutality? Oh no that's harder than taking a knee.

  • Free Speech - 7 years ago

The Titans and The NFL players have tried for years bringing awareness on different issues. Who keeps them from voicing their opinions or what they want people to know.? THE NFL! However, it's funny that the NFL would turn a blind eye to players protesting during the Anthem. Until the people who really pay their checks started to speak and hurt their pocket books. If the players want to raise awareness they should be able to but they need to pick that fight with their boss. I think their bosses will say: use your sponsors, use your media platforms, use your personal time and money. I think the owners are probably telling their players. You guys don't really give a crap about stuff because we don't see you trying to fix anything. All we see you guys doing is enjoying your money and getting into trouble. Players need to remember they work for people who have rules. The boss needs to act like a boss and provide standards and rules then enforce them.

  • The Titans and NFL - 7 years ago

The Titans and the NFL should be explaining to us why we need them. What good do they provide? How do they make a difference around their community? How much do they sacrifice for us? How are they good role models for kids or adults? How does the NFL and the titans help make a difference in America? Does the NFL spoil their players? How does the NFL make examples of players when they commit crimes?
We see a lot of NFL players living lavish lifestyles that most people will never get to experience. We see them getting into a lot of trouble with the law but having no real consequences done to them at work. The act like idiots on their social media accounts. We see stupid commercials instead of meaningful commercials. They seem to live through fun and having no true respect for others. They don't really make a difference that benefit Americans, their communities or organizations despite them having billions, more time than most, having multiple media platforms. Even when they raise money for breast cancer awareness; only 8 percent of the money goes towards the cause. They do little things in the community to mostly promote the NFL.

  • Hollywood compared to NFL - 7 years ago

The NFL and Hollywood are the same. They both can get away with anything in the workplace and people will still pay them. At least Hollywood is having zero tolerance with sexual assault after Weinstein. You would think the NFL would change and get with times. Start acting like professionals or firing employees for not being professional role models. The Titans don't care about how you grade their performance. They only care about money. Oh, they also think about partying, drugs, dui/dwi, violence, assualting women, spending lots of money of themselves. Oh they need to make people think they care about stuff once in awhile to keep a good name for themselves.
Titans and the NFL don't really care about anything but themselves. You people grade them, pay them to act like unprofessional little kids throwing fit when they don't get their way.
