Hoas are against our constitutional rights. You have no power to negotiate. The industry makes money off of homeowners by double taxation. I won't even address the fraud, lying, or even the tyranny...At least in the government there is some type of balance. HOAs have nothing for the homeowner. They can use the money collected for supposed upkeep and spend it on frivolous lawsuits, like you can't have pink flamingos or fly a US flag (even though the flag is against a Federal law.) HOA's are only for the industry and the small minded people that want to write rules and regulations either because they benefit from them or because that power went to their heads. I could write a book on the injustice of HOA's but I think people are getting the message.
