I like burgers but I don’t really know if you can actually taste the difference between one burger from a place in Fremont that is so far away from a place that is also in Campbell but since I live closer to BCBC I will probably vote for that one which is what most people are probably doing anyway. But what is bots? Or also they say that winners want it more so probably it’s because BCBC wants it more. Maybe they read The Secret and are visualizing a win better than Val’s. I literally plan my vacations around food. Notably I’ve been to Mineta Tavern, Gotts, Apple Pan, Fathers Office, BURGR, Joe’s Cable car, and quite a few others across the country. These are places that are generally on various best burger in the country list, Brown Chicken Brown Cow has never been on any list I have seen, but Val’s has at one time or another.
I have been to both places and while BCBC was good, it’s simply not on par with Val’s. I don’t see BCBC being on any national list of best burger places.
Not to knock this publication, but the Counter is in the elite 8? Ok, calling BS on that. I could accept BCBC, but no way the counter deserves to be here. I was left hungry and nearly broke after receiving their undersized and grotesquely overpriced serving of beef at the San Diego airport.
The only place I could logically see beating Val’s in this competition is Gotts, which is s nationally recognized best burger multiple years in a row.

@Pathetic, you are caught in your own echo chamber and are blinded by your bias. Those are some good stats that you lay out for a company that is more than 15x older than the other company. So the fact that the older establishment has higher numbers across the board for open social media presences is both expected, and has no significant correlation to the advocacy of their loyal customers. I've worked in online marketing and advertising since the web became a commercial medium, and fans, likes and shares can be bought and have ZERO effect on the product - A passive "push a thumbs up" fan does not a good burger make!
To call another company "trash," without so much as trying the product and knowing the people behind the business is irresponsible and slanderous, which only hurts the perception of the very establishment that you are sticking up for. I don't know you, but I'm guessing you meant no legitimate harm, but let's call a spade a spade - I went and checked out Val's Facebook page and people are posting about voting multiple times, it is in fact more likely, and plausible, that the core fan base of BCBC, the younger establishment, is perhaps, maybe a bit more rabid.

A bot automated voting. Basically you can set one to vote every second or every minute or however often you want it to vote.
It’s pretty obvious this is happening as BCBC jumped 4K votes overnight. While Val’s went up a few 100. I’m sure there are many dedicated BCBC fans out there but when they never broke 5K total votes in any previous rounds now they are over 31K it’s some pretty shameless shenanigans are going on.
Unless they really had people voting all night from 11PM to 6AM.

Brown Chicken Brown Cow has had only one owner who has lived in the South Bay his whole life! The place is fairly new, but has built a stellar reputation in a very short time!! Let’s not start accusing people of cheating. Check the first round, where BCBC got more votes than any other entry. Val's Burgers has been owned by only two families since 1958. It's a city wide treasure. It has lots of fans from all generations. I helped organize the get out the vote on FB. It's mainly schools.

Vals is the real deal. They have been doing it a long time and have a huge fan base. Maybe the exponential rise in votes is because the working class fan base are taking there lunch break time to vote!!!
Val’s posted a request for votes to its customer/fan base via multiple channels just about an hour ago. We responded.
I agree with Jesse's comment above. I came to vote and in that short time Val's vote count was going up by double digits in minutes. ...plus, Val's isn't even that good! I might believe it if it was a popular place like The Countet.
I see voter fraud here. Less than 2 minutes ago Val's was behind by several hundred votes.
