Remember that one MLS game that was so exciting? The score was 1-0.

I will support soccer in any capacity. Soccer is an international sport - one that brings the nation's together. Why keep something away that brings us together? #COYBIG

I do agree with one thing the nay sayers said, Nashville needs to concentrate on current problems, such as teaching proper grammar to uneducated idiots.

People of Nashville. Soccer is great. This stadium is great. The fairgrounds are great. Overall, this is just really, really great. We're gonna build the stadium. It's gonna be huge. It's gonna be so great and people are gonna come from all over to see it. Don't listen to the failing Save The Fairgrounds people. Their ratings suck. Rick Williams is really not a smart guy. Don't listen to him.

I love soccer. It's great. I don't know what it is, but people are telling me it's great. I hear that all the time. This stadium is gonna be the best stadium in the world and people will come from all over to see it. It's gonna create a lot of jobs, believe me. It's going to be amazing. I know all the best people and they all say it's going to be great.

    Make the fairgrounds great again!

This poll is pathetic. You can vote as many times as you possibly want.

    Good job “news”.

After my client, Rick Williams, beheld the glorious ghost of Dale Earnhardt Sr in a rapturous vision, I too saw the ghost of Dale. I also heard the voice of Hank Sr calling from the great beyond. "You have no case", he said. "The Metro Council in no way violated the Fairgrounds Tract."

As I listened to the dulcet tones of my music idol, I was taken with an overwhelming sense of gratitude, that the Soccer Gods would bestow upon us, the humble city of Nashville, such a glorious opportunity. This stadium is our destiny, our future, the culmination of all our labor since 1779.

I was transported to the future, much like Desmond from Lost. I saw the future of Nashville. We're a soccer city! I saw the year 2028. Christian Pulisic leads us to our 3rd club world cup title! We dominate the new Champions League, crushing Real Madrid 4-0 in the final, and celebrating in front of Cristiano Ronaldo, their new manager.

I came away with this out of body experience with a renewed sense of purpose. It is my sole reason for existence now - to see the beautiful game succeed in our town. This is my calling. This is my destiny. I will never be shaken. Glory be.

Hold your ground! Hold your ground!

Sons of Nashville, of Tennessee, my brothers and sisters,

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.

A day may come when the courage of fans fail,

    when we forsake our friends

and break all bonds of supporters sections,

but it is not this day.

An hour of run down race tracks and empty fairgrounds parking lots,

when the age of soccer comes crashing down,

but it is not this day!

    This day we fight!!

By all that you hold dear on this good Earth,

I bid you stand, Supporters of the Beautiful Game!!!

These fairgrounds do not belong to one Group,

    But to All.

Let us together rebuild the Fairgrounds,

    That we may share in

    Days of Soccer!

After a lot of thought and prayer, and after seeing the ghost of Dale Earnhardt Sr. in a vision this morning, I have come to the conclusion that the soccer stadium at the fairgrounds is our DESTINY as a city. I have a dream of a city where soccer supporters and NASCAR nuts can come together in one place and support our CITY! I urge all of my followers to vote YES! Buy season tickets NOW! Support the BOYS IN GOLD! This is OUR TOWN. OUR CLUB. OUR TIME!

Wave your flags and bang the drums
    ‘Cause we are NSC

We love you through and through
We’ll keep singing all night long
    ‘Cause Nashville we love you!

We’ll keep singing all night long
    ‘Cause we are NSC
Ready boys, we’ll cheer you on
    ‘Cause we are NSC

    NASHVILLE! NASHVILLE!

We’ll keep singing all night long ‘cause we are NSC

People who are criticizing the sport are uneducated and have no idea what they're talking about. The fairgrounds are still going to be there when the stadium is built, and will be improved as a result. If you're going to make an argument against it, try reading all the facts first. Doing otherwise makes you come across like an uneducated hillbilly.

I support MLS whole heartedly. It is an international sport and guess what... Nashville is an international city. The Fairgrounds are still going to be there. Look at cities like Portland, Columbus, Atlanta, Orlando and tell me soccer is not American. We only have 2 Major League sports teams in this city. One doing really well; the other... well its floundering its season. This team could bring in revenue to fix the streets and schools. Soccer is a community building sport. Go to a rec park on any given Saturday during a season and see how many youth are enjoying the game. This is coming from a guy who never played soccer but loves the game and the sense of family it brings to the fans.

All of these people saying no are idiots… what is wrong with having an MLS team

  • Tommy Jackson - 6 years ago

No don't care about soccer LEAVE THE FAIRGROUNDS ALONE

  • David simms - 6 years ago

No,I dont think I'll be supporting any type of Soccer in Nashville..I have nothing personal against the sport, its just something I have no desire in seeing..I hope the mayor pumps her brakes on this deal,we need more attention to other imperative projects, then major professional soccer..I have friends in Ohio, they said,it didnt go over to well there to well..Lets focus on supporting what we already have in Nashville, not cater so much to the international crowd..I promise,Nashvillians will eventually catch up to this deal by the major and they wont be too pleased

No way! This is a huge land grab for some greedy developers. Still amazed we're financing the stadium and giving them 18 acres along with paying for all the infrastructure. Hey Council and Mayors office fix our roads and schools. We can't wait for 2034 for the traffic to be fixed!

  • JoeSixPak - 6 years ago

Might as well since I will never attend a thug Titans game again. BOYCOTT THE NFL!

  • Blue Angel - 6 years ago

Not just NO, but Hell NO!!! We already have enough Major League Sports in Nashville!!

  • Larry Hester - 6 years ago

Yes, I will support them. After another season of watching the Titans go belly up. Maybe a new team will bring a victory to our great city. After also watching the Predators fall apart in the Stanley Cup finals.
