yes, absolutely. peripheral neuropathy pain from diabetes & arthritis both make sleep difficult if not impossible, & both respond to cannabis very well. the uneducated people that keep fighting to keep folks in pain will have their own special corner in the furnace rooms of hell when their days are up. Jeff Sessions & those that keep crying about "gateway" nonsense are showing their inability to think for themselves or absorb information not aligned with their prejudices. "stop trying to confuse me with facts, i know what i want to be true!" LOL!

Genesis Ch.1 verse 29 in The Holy Bible clearly says that God created every seed bearing plant and saw it was good. Also if America is a free country how is it a free country when you outlaw mother nature? The goverment makes themselves look like fools over this natural growing plant! #DumpJeffSessions #MAGA #Trump2020

I have multiple sclerosis and id much rather smoke marijuana than to be on oxycodone and morphine I know for a fact this would help with the opioid crisis in Tennessee. I have never heard of anyone overdosing on marijuana but people overdose on these pills everyday. I pray they will approve this I will be the first to flush these pills down the toilet.

The vast majority of those who say they use medical marijuana, like Kenneth above, are really just using it recreationally. While I do not dispute it can help those who are in pain, just like any other drug, or that it can help those with cancer because it makes them have an appetite, the downsides of the slippery slope of making it legal outweigh the benefits.

marijuana is a sin. nuff said.

Frank, you’re completely insane I’m nearly certain. Marijuana users do not make bad parents. I’ve seen worse parents as being the ones doped up on Xanax, Morphine, fentanyl, etc. Trump is insane just as Sessions is. Get your head so far out of your ass.

Well i already use it medicinaly. I have a few medical conditions such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, cabg, sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal stenosis, gerd, gasteopersis, pad, diabetic neuropathy, ptsd, bipolar 2 disorder, copd, and some other shit to. I use marijuana medicinaly and refuse to let anyone tell me I can't. This is where I draw the line on the misinformed government and people telling me I cannot use a medicine that has helped me. I have been able to remove three unsafe pharmaceuticals with horrible side effects and replace it with one medication with no dangers or any side effects. You can also look at it this way if marijuana weren't beneficial the government would not hold a patent on it and pharmaceutical company's would not be trying to make a synthetic unhealthy version.

Rita, I am right you are wrong. You voted for Obama, I bet! You fake news supporting liberal pinhead.

My logic comes from life experiences, unlike you who just want to get high from an illegal drug. It is common sense. People who get high are impaired, people who are impaired can not be trusted to protect their children. People who cant protect their children usually are the ones neglecting their children.

Cannabis is a bad drug and should stay that way for years to come as it has been for years already. Governor Haslam has already stated you will not see his office legalize it and my vote will be for a candidate who wont as well. Tennessee is a red state with values and morals. Any future governor elected will be of good moral integrity which if that holds true as it has for decades, Marijuana will never ever be legal in the state of Tennessee. You have options though. Move to California, Colorado, Washington where ever you can to do your drugs. Maybe soon you can have your cocaine too for nosebleeds. I vote to keep Tennessee safe! Always!

PS you attacked me first calling me ignorant. Trump 2020!!!!

Marijuana is NOT a drug, it's a medication. There has never been anyone to die or overdose from marijuana. I proudly support it because it is a SAFE alternative to opioids. We have been battling this opioid crisis for years and this is the answer and solution to that problem. I will support the legalization of marijuana until the day I die. Alcohol has killed people, it's legal. Cigarettes have killed people, it's legal. Marijuana has NEVER killed or so much as even hurt anyone in any physical, mental, nor emotional way, but yet, it is illegal. We are smarter than this. We would rather have Tennessean people die from opioid overdoses and alcohol poisoning than use marijuana for an alternative.

you don't know what you are talking about, you must be one of the stupid people placed on earth, sorry but the healing power of this far out ways the ignorance of people like you, i hope you never ever have a cancer patient that stays so sick that's this is all that allows them to be to be able to eat and hold down their food. or gets a child or grandchild that's this helps the suffering, may our God have mercy on your ignorance

Friends, this world is changing and fast.

Now days people want to free rides from the government. You have people marrying who they want to marry. Crime is at an all time high. People stealing stuff. A good president like Mr. Trump cant pass a single bill without getting pushed back by the liberals. This world is a mess. It is a shame to see.

Call it Cannabis or Marijuana, whatever you want to call it the fact is it is ILLEGAL! People who use this DRUG should be held accountable as anyone else who commits a CRIME.

There are safe things out there for people who need help. I have heard stories of people neglecting their small children while intoxicated on this deadly DRUG!

Anyone who wants this DRUG legalized wants to destroy america.

Build the F’N wall! Stop these DRUGS from coming across the southern border. Do the right, moral thing and shut this down to shut these liberal fake news supporting people up.

Would this help with depression also?

God: "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. " - Genesis 1:29

Science: "There is substantial evidence that that marijuana helps numerous conditions, and there has never been a single marijuana overdose death in all human history."

Tennesseans: "78% of us support medical marijuana. This is as close to a no-brainer grand slam home run as you'll see in all of politics."

Lobbyists from Big Whiskey, Big Pharma, and Big Prison: "Say, that's nice slush fund for bribes. Sorry, we meant 'campaign contribution fund'. Be a shame if anything happened to it..."

Which of those four do you think our legislators will pay the most attention to?

  • Janice - 6 years ago

Yes, I wholeheartedly support it! I have the painful, debilitating disease of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). My family was on vacation in Colorado August 2017. I bought a lollipop and gummies at a recreational store and was amazed at the results. I daily saw my inflammation and pain go away. Before we left, I could not walk to the mailbox and back without extreme pain. While using the cannibas (true name), I was able to hike for a total of 10 miles. I never felt high and had such a greater quality of life. I hated to fly back home without it. My husband loves his job in Kingsport, and my children all live in the area. We should not have to move to Colorado for me to have access to such a miracle "drug." I have exhausted all other options including over-the-counter and prescription (which all have horrendous side effects), except for opioids. I refuse to go down that disastrous path and become another statistic for the TN opioid crisis. Yes, please be in favor of MEDICAL cannibas for the state of Tennessee. I will use it MEDICINALLY!!!!

@ anon: The poppy plant was given by God, so I guess it is fine to become an opium addict too?

There are plenty of drugs that work as well as pot. This is only about malingerers getting their hands on pot to get high.

  • Anon - 6 years ago

We’ve been pushing towards medical marijuana for a while now and I can personally say that people can agree that most of Tennesseeans want medical marijuana and should be able to have it, for people in pain, people with cancer who can’t eat sleep or even function without feeling horrible all the time. Cannabis helps, it heels and doesn’t hurt anyone. It’s a god given plant. What’s so bad about that

I already use CBD oils that are legal (Vape pen and a salve), and I get relief from them both quickly, but there are compounds gained from high-end marijuana that can help me with my condition, as well as my diabetes and high blood pressure....all without meds. The next necessary step is being able to purchase products with our HSA card.

Dude, like totally! It has like so radically made me gnarly and like righteous with my English, so don't even barf me out already. I plan to graduate from High School before my parents like amp off, so I respect my bitchin' self completely. Smoke on, brotherman.
