Look, those ponies can do whatever they want in their private time together. Nothing wrong with a wholesome friendship with some consensual fun here and there.
But if you're asking for my two cents on a relationship headcanon between these fictional horses, I'll tell ya Trixie would get on Glimmy's nerves too much and isn't dependable enough to make a good primary life partner. Starlight can do better.

Yes, but sadly, there is a lot of people who want to see shipping and/or sex in every drawing, video, ..., out of the blue, without background nor build-up, for the sake of it.

The show is called Friendship is Magic -NOT Romance is Magic. Creating romances would do nothing but create awkwardness and confllct and confuse the whole line of the show. And it is written for children, keep in mind, not to fuel the seamy fantasies of frustrated post-adolescents. ;-)

As far as I'm concerned they could separate them entirely, the dynamic between Starlight and Trixie for some reason never felt organic or interesting to me.

The question of Should Trixie and Starlight Glimmer become more than just friends? The answer is very likely to be no. It seems logical since if Filly Fantasy IV was made, Starlight would play Anna and Trixie would play Tellah. In Filly Fantasy IV, Starlight is killed and Trixie blames Sunset Shimmer for murdering her best friend she loves so much. To get vengeance on Starlight Glimmer, Trixie dishonestly learns every magical spell after Twilight becomes an Alicorn. This could be a foreshadow of Filly Fantasy IV romhack being created sometime in the future..

Uh, no? I think it's pretty obvious that in the unlikely case that the show will commit to Starlight getting romantic with one of her friends, it's going to be Maud.

Does some pollster has a M&M fetish? How droll . . .

Please no gratuitous shipping for the sake of it in canon. There is more than enough of it in the fandom already.

Am I missing something here? Did Trixie actually say she loved Starlight?

I think we have pushed some lesbian relationship a lot more than necessary.
I have had enough of this in this fandom.

Also it's not crazy to tell your friends you love them.
I've told my friends multiple times!
Doesn't mean oh let's have a relationship. Especially because most relationships start off not as love and just liking.

I'm kind of just against relationships for the main cast altogether.
I mean, if they did decide to make it official, I would think it's awesome first off, and also continue watching the show. So no real issues here if it was to happen.
I'm totally all for Lyra and Bon Bon relationship like official. No huge episode, but like a throw away line or something in the background.

just have them give bedroom eyes 90% of the time, make the bronies scream for joy!
