I have been riding my bike to Kits beach for many years, years before there were even any bike lanes.
I haven't found anything dangerous about riding along Arbutus when I bike to the beach.
There is no need to pave parks for bicycle lanes,
I play tennis at Kits Beach regularly and picnic in the summer on the grass under the trees by Ogden and McNichol.

As a cyclist I am not in favor of bike paths. They do not get you places quickly and they always make the trails with visual blocks. I think the bike lanes on the roads are adequate and I don't have to ride everywhere that people walk! Casual cyclists ride on the sidewalk already so not much will change that either

My vote is yes; I cycle there all the time in summer to get to the pool. The current situation along Arbutus and through the parking lot is really dangerous as cars jostle for parking. The situation approaching from Balsam to enter the west side of the park is also really dangerous.
BUT....!!! Why does it have to cut through the treed grove at Ogden and McNicholl? Why not just skirt the outside of it?
