Why couldn’t you just have left plant based on its own. Plant based no meat? There are vegans who eat dairy and vegans who eat Oreos there are vegetarians who eat eggs and cheese. Plant based is plant based no meat, no dairy, no oil!

Pure Vegan is 100% the most unhealthy diet for a human being. There has never been an Olympic Marathon champion who was a pure vegan for a good reason. Expectant mothers who eat vegan permanently harm their newborn child's health. I challenge all Vegans to acknowledge that when the grain stalk is cut or the carrot is chopped that these living organisms do not suffer stress and pain.

I'm a 61 year young guy, whose path to vegetarianism has some parrallels with Ms. Ireland. I'd describe my diet as vegetarian-mediterranean-paelithic fusion, eg, nuts, extra virgin olive oil (organic), whole grain organic bread, cruciferous veggies, organic free range eggs, ect. 90% of my food is minimally processed, but I treat myself to veggie meats, which is ironic - a factor in my going vegetarian is I never liked the taste of meat, unless it was killed by herbs and spices.
The artificial meat actually tastes OK.
My hat is off to the vegetarian and vegan young folk's of BC. May more of my generation take note. Live healthier, longer, and possibly help save our planet? What's not to like about that?

Here's another option, the Washington Post and the BBC reported that you can get dog and cat meat for food in Switzerland. Its on the internet. Google it for reservations .
    Bon appetite

There is a reason why vegans and even vegetarians to a lesser degree, live longer and have lower rates of our most prevalent diseases when compared to omnivores.
