Should the WRHA reconsider the closing of Concordia Hospital and the Seven Oaks ER?

They need to keep the Concordia ER open as this Community covers a large population; they treated 30,000 patients last year alone. There are numerous seniors in this area; there's an assisted living home, Concordia Place and Bethania Nursing home. If these seniors get sick; they will most likely need an ER; not a walk-in clinic. St. Boniface; which is the closest hospital won't be able to handle this extra load; they are currently at capacity. According to a recent article; once Concordia ER is closed; it will increase patient load by 55% and this could put patients lives at risk; minutes matter in an emergency situation. Our Community needs 24/7 access to health care; put patients first.

Yes they should reconsider closing the hospitals or pay family members to at least take care of their loved ones at home that have a disability and seniors as well that can not do things that they used to be able to do
