I hope you enjoy your high gas prices, soon to be shortages lack of tourism because of simple affordability. Maybe the silent majority should force horgan to do what you want and not what the 3 green chairs want him to do so he can keep power!!!!

Why should their be a tax break ? The elected government in BC is enacting the will of the people, as the tax goes up, the environment gets better right ?

Oil and gas is about money. Stopping the pipeline seriously affect our economy.

Unfortunately, you reap what you sow. No tax break. Maybe the silent minority in Vancouver should be more vocal about building TMP as it also ships gasoline, diesel and jet fuel into Burnaby and more volume of these products would be shipped with twin pipeline.

To be more specific, if we alternated between all the major oil companies each week or each month and say didn't buy gas from Shell this week, Shell would be forced to lower their prices. Price war . Others would follow suit.

If everyone using Facebook boycotted one gasoline provider for one week at a time you'd see gas prices drop to where they should be.

Why should they get a tax break? Want a fair pric build a fucking pipeline and stop letting protesters disrupt supplies

For the Albertans on here trying to rub the high prices in our face for gas, you should have some facts. A refinery in Washington is closed down for maintenance so the production is down so prices are higher. Its not because of your stupid ignorant pipeline not being built. Its amazing some of the ignorant people on here. Go back to Alberta stay out of BC your as ignorant as some Americans

They should get a tax break but they should issue cards out for them. The ones who are for the pipeline gets the cards for the tax break
While the ones against the pipelines get the extra taxes tacted on from the ones who support the line.
So the government gets to keep their revenue. Problem solved. Both sides are happy.
Supporters of the pipeline get deductions. While thoses opposed gets the feel good of paying much higher prices. ❤❤❤

Hahaha! This feel so good! We’re fraccing like crazy in Northern BC and all these hippies are actually getting what they deserve. Bring on $5.00 a litre!!

  • nigel niessen - 6 years ago

Of course the BC govt should remove the BC taxes to gas and oil, build a refinery, and levy more taxes on shipments to Alberta from our ports. Its that simple.

  • Larry Sterling - 6 years ago

No need for a tax break. Build the pipeline and your prices will go down. It is approved and must be built. Enough is enough. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

  • Ryan - 6 years ago

Raise it to $5.00 a litre bunch of hypocrites get use to riding a bike or walking

No they do not deserve a break whatsoever unless everybody else in this country gets one plain and simple.

  • OMG - 6 years ago

Trudeau/Notley protect Montana from pipelines but not BC.
Canada is becoming more american than the U.S.

Tough luck Lower Mainland. Pipelines bring your oil to you. No pipelines = no competition for oil = higher prices. You're reaping what you have sown. What about the rest of B.C.? (the sane part). Why should they have to remain paying for your stupidity?

  • A fellow Canuck - 6 years ago

sorry folks... Each of us (in all of Canada) are expected to pay our share of the political stupidity that we have enforced upon ourselves.... the only ones that get away with not pulling their share is the big business Quebec'ers... and even they are moving out of Canada

You reap what you sow Vancouver. Enjoy!!

  • Laine - 6 years ago

Vancouver wants to block oil pipelines then get a break on fuel prices?? They say there's not enough refineries around to keep the prices down good luck on sparking one of them up in BCs nope era
