$500-999: strictly smaller TVs or budget brands for me
$1000-1500: I don't want a 'budget' TV, but I want to save money too
$1500-2500: please, I've got a big room to fill
$2500-4000: if I'm buying something big, I want it to be good for *years*
$4000 or more: because I'm loaded
