Number 3 looks fun, with it's gooey icing border. It could have a nice icing-y script type inside; but maybe keep the inside of the shape simple, with no extra images. You could make little images for different applications, like menus, but keep the logo simple. :)
I also like #13, with the geometric cake shape. Very Art Deco. (I love Art Deco!) It could be very elegant with the right type and colour. Here's an example of Art Deco type and treatment of illustration:
