There have been countless conversations about meaningful electoral reform in Canada and Nova Scotia, but nothing much has changed since women were enfranchised. Canada remains one of a handful of countries that continue to use the first past the post system, in use for the past 250 years.

Voter turnout has never been lower and citizens feel disengaged from the political process. Many feel that electoral reform could turn that situation around.
