Grindon Parish Superfast Broadband

You may remember that Grindon Parish Council, with support from the Tees Valley Rural Community Council, have made an application to the government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for part funding towards the installation of superfast broadband in our area (Wynyard and Thorpe Thewles).

The next phase of the application will be considered by DEFRA in September 2013.

BT have also come forward and said that should 50% of the homes in the Stillington, Redmarshall, Bishopton, Long Newton, Thorpe Thewles, Wynyard and Grindon area have a keen desire to use superfast broadband and should the application be successful, they are prepared to contribute the remainder of the money required to get superfast broadband in our homes. This will be during 2014.

By doing this we can prove to BT and DEFRA that (hopefully) more than 50% of homes in our area have a keen desire for superfast broadband.

Please help by answering the following questions which will indicate whether you are in favour of superfast broadband should it become available.
