Cannot believe this show is being cancelled. Absolutely love it and all the drama it holds. From what I'm reading still has a huge audience so really wonder who makes the call and WHY?????

Empire's cancellation has nothing to do with Jussie Smollett's' case. Real fans don't care about what happened in Chicago. Actors and actresses are always pulling some kind of stunt. So what! As a fan who has seen every episode, I became frustrated at the writing. Cookie has never been a week woman or a sappy woman; yet, this is what the writers turned her into. Whatever happened to that Cookie who was full of sass and fire? Furthermore, viewership was probably down because you were showing reruns. We've already seen them -- don't need to see them again.
I think what has happened is that the writers can't come up with where to take the Family now that they're back on top. If the producers ever get a backbone and do what should be done, I suggest that you come up with better songs. The majority of your songs are weak -- weak -- weak!
