Loving Andrew Yang. So many people attain wealth and keep it for themselves. Its so refreshing to see some use their wealth to fund non-profits and create jobs.

  • STEVE S - 5 years ago

I am starting to realize that this Andrew Yang thing going on is just not real and people are being paid to say good things about him.. WHAT HAS THIS GUY DONE HIS WHOLE LIFE? Most people have never heard of him. he needs to get more experience HELPING PEOPLE before we allow him to run the country and expect his to help people. Also, to all those people that think government should be run like a business. A business is run by dictators and we see the proof of that with Trump. We have tried a business person to run the country now and it sure has not worked. So no, government and the country cannot be run like it is a business. We sure do not want dictators as president. The only person I see that is real and has tried to help the people their whole life is Bernie Sanders. Biden is trying to run on OBAMA but Biden never did try to do anything OBAMA did all the other years Biden was in office. So no, Biden is not the one we need now. Biden will just take us back in time or not make any progress at all. Biden has told us that himself. He just wants to make OBAMA CARE better. That mean there will still be millions without medical insurance and it will still cost all of us millions each year and not better treatment. Biden still want to pay insurance companies billions in profits and not get any better coverage. That is a waste of billions. All the others are just either Biden copies or Sanders copies. I want the real deal that has tried to help people his whole life and that is Sanders. By the way, we have already had a socialist democrat in office and that was FDR and we all like his policies and the country did not turn RED either. So the country will not turn RED with Sanders either. Do not be scared of that word. They even used the socialist word with FDR started Social security and the country did not go Communist then did it. Do not fall for that trick by the republicans. They do not want to make life better for anyone but the wealthy. No, Bernie Sanders is the only real candidate that will do what he says he will do because he has talked about doing it his whole life.

QUEEN KAMALA!! Biden is trying to benefit from policies from Obama's agenda...an agenda he had 30 years to advocate for but never did...nice try

BERNIE SANDERS??????? Hahahhahahhahahahaa. What a nutcase. All about the rights but no responsibility. He is the 1%. Marianne Williamson needs to put an incantation of protection on Mayor Pete. He's the only one with any sense.

I'll give you my take and you can't accept it or not. I am a southern white progressive who lives in a rural area in a red State. I know the people who voted for Trump. Not all of them are bigoted buffoons. Many of them were former Obama voters. I also know people who are progressive/left that absolutely refused to vote for Hillary Clinton. They either sat home or voted third party. Please understand this. If you want the Democratic nominee to defeat Trump, you've got to motivate these people to vote. They are not going to vote for corporate Democrats(Biden) OR faux progressives(Kamala) who are late to the party. There is a trust issue there. The only person who will bring these people out to vote and also get the Millennial vote and Independent vote is Bernie Sanders. He has been consistent and principled his entire career. He has an amazing record. He has stood on picket lines with striking workers when he wasn't running! He IS the real deal. If we truly want to defeat Trump, we should be united in voting for Bernie in the primary. Then, if Bernie wins(and I'm certain, he can), I'm sure he will place a few of the other candidates running in his cabinet. Such as Elizabeth Warren, Tulsi Gabbard, and Andrew Yang. There's my take. I hope you will at least take it into consideration. I want Trump out just as much as the rest of you but we need turnout and we need to look at these crucial swing state polls(Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania) where Bernie is leading by the widest margins of any other candidate. Please just take that into account. We need to be smart and not blow this. Remember, what happened in 2016 when we went with a corporate Dem who was clearly pretending to be progressive. It failed.

I used the debates to determine who was civilized and who can conduct themselves in a composed manner and not get sucked into yelling and name calling contest with others. I tuned out the noise and watch as Yang was the quiet DC outsider and that is what I appreciated. This debate was alot of noise and most of the behavior I want to see in my preferred candidate was not exemplified.

  • David - 5 years ago

The people who say that Yang voters are Trump trolls are making the same mistake that the GOP did in 2016. We are real, we are voting in the Dem primaries and we support Andrew Yang. Instead of assuming he polls so well online because of “Trump” or “The Russians”, I’d suggest watching one of his podcasts. You will definitely understand the hype and might end up #YangGang yourself. I found him in the Breakfast Club- It’s a great intro to Yang. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=87M2HwkZZcw

  • Jack - 5 years ago

Yang makes sense with UBI. If you haven’t looked at it you should, be talked about it for over an hour in an interview on YouTube. It’s amazing they gave such a bright person almost no air time and the publicity from that bias is the win. Everyone else was slinging mud, insinuating racism, and promoting socialism. Yang Gang 2020!!!!!

  • Tim - 5 years ago

Did Yang even speak at the debate? Please!!!!

  • San - 5 years ago

Only Kamala Harris can defeat Trump.

  • Hunter - 5 years ago

Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang are both leading online polls for night 1 and 2 respectively. These two candidates also got a noticeable lack of attention from MSNBC moderators and are the only two to have spoken out about bias against them since the debates. NBC is also reporting that online trolls and russia are interfering with these polls in order to support Tulsi and Yang. These are the two candidates the DNC hates the most, therefore they get terrible coverage by MSNBC. Is there any doubt MSNBC is bought and paid for by the DNC? Trump may be a total bufoon, but he is 100% right that MSNBC is fake news. Dont believe the MSM and look at the candidates themselves: its evident that Tulsi and Yang are the only two who are genuine and care. Give them your vote and show the DNC and mainstream media that they have no power over the people

  • Donna Hicks - 5 years ago

NBC and many other sites reported that Trump trolls were going around and casting votes for candidates least likely to win. Do not rely on the poll results that you initially see.

Donald Dump followers planned, and followed up on their plan to go to all the polls and vote for lesser known candidates and those least likely to win to screw up the actual poll votes cast by those of us with half a brain in our heads. Too bad they have so little common sense that they do not realize that they only dig themselves into a deeper hole, and make Democrats more determined to get rid of every Dump supporter in office, as well as the orange-hair thing occupying the WH now.

Now, to the debate. First night, definitely Elizabeth Warren left everyone else in the dust, soaring ahead of all of them. So many media sources claim Harris won the second debate because of her busing comments directed at Biden. That just made her look bad, not Biden, in my opinion. If you look at her face immediately after her statement, she stared ahead with a look not of anger, but of like someone with a grudge. She will never get my vote, which was, and still is, Biden.

  • Marissa Arai - 5 years ago

Andrew Yang is the only candidate thinking about the world we live in and where things are going. Everyone else is trying to solve problems as if it was 1980. As automation assisted efficiency increases to an unprecedented level and human labor is not as necessary as it previously has been, Andrew Yang is the only person proposing switching to a new system that somehow helps the most people while minimizing and simplifying government. It’s not about left or right, it’s about protecting humanity in the most common sense and simple way.

  • Cannon - 5 years ago

We are coming to a critical crossroads in the trajectory of this country and all of us within it. Trump won simply because he wasn’t a politician, we don’t want more of these career politicians running the show. America voted for a businessman in 2016 because the problems plaguing this country are fundamentally economic. The thing about Trump is that he has a low moral threshold. The Economy is still the fundamental problem, we just need a business man with values that align with the nation he leads. Andrew Yang is the only person on that stage with any chance whatsoever at defeating the Incumbent. Ignore these polls done by the media with their bias and interests. Look at the betting odds in Vegas, money doesn’t lie.

  • Daisy V - 5 years ago

Automation is happening, and universal income is urgently needed. Yes Mr. Andrew Yang is the real deal! Wake up America, robots Will take over.

  • Kevin - 5 years ago

It is clear that Americans like to be lied to. The Repugnicants liked that Chump lied to them when he said he was going to build a wall and Mexico was going to pay for it. He lied when he said he was going to replace and repeal Obamacare. Now the Democrats want to be lied to that they can give everyone free stuff that someone else is going to pay for. Why don't they all just say they can guarantee everyone a winning lottery ticket?

    Good debate

  • John Choate - 5 years ago

Yang was the only adult up there. People are tired of the insincere b.s. that all the other candidates were babbling on about.....and people are tired of being told who they should vote for by TV news producers and personalities.

  • Ben K - 5 years ago

Amongst all the squabbling, screaming politicians, Andrew Yang looked composed, and kept his answers on-topic.

Joe Biden the man ... he knows how to run the country for the majority of Americans ..,, all the other candidates only appease their small radical leftist clicks ... Kamala ? ...uhh after tonight's emotional tirade ? - major turn off no way. Bernie ? Bernie is just crazy uncle Bernie and needs to go away. We’re just not ready for communism yet..... ugh

  • Cool dude - 5 years ago

Joe Biden won. He is cool calm and collective and can do the job for the majority of Americans. Kamala is too emotional, her voice shakes with nervousness and she gets too emotional. You cant run a country being an emotional hot mess like Kamala was tonight. Bernie is to wacky left... he’s not for the people he’s for big government which in turn is not for the people .... so wake up Bernie lovers

  • Debbie Paul - 5 years ago

Marianne Williamson has the moral leadership the Democratic Party requires . She is a leader not a follower and can lead them all with respect, restraint and resourcefulness. Marianne has a plan for every question that was asked tonight and she posted her issues in January and has been having conversation s about these issues for years. Marianne has the morals to lead not only the USA but other countries towards a healthier more caring world. She didn’t get the time and the debate this evening to even touch on her platform please check her out at marianne2020.com . The USA needs a honest, moral leader who knows the right people to put into the position s to lead the USA! Marianne knows how to do this as she looks at the underlying causes for the problems facing America and gets to the root. She knows who to put in to get the job done. Love will win because we are doomed if it doesn’t,

  • John Lavery - 5 years ago

Yang is very right on one thing. Get the economic boot off of peoples throats, and it will make addressing the issues of race, climate change, immigration etc etc, a lot easier. When people feel they have a future and are not scraping by for their day to day existence, the become more rational, less angry and much more willing to keep an open mind and work with others.

  • Lizzy Kassavich - 5 years ago

“The only reason Yang is winning the poll is because his followers are brigading”
    ...
    ...
And guess what.... Andrew Yang sure does have a lot of followers. He has real support not fake Astro turf support like for Biden.

  • Donna - 5 years ago

Kamala Harris is by FAR our strongest candidate and the best choice to beat Trump. I look forward to seeing her take him down in a debate. I really like Bernie's platform, but him running against Trump isn't going to work if we want to win. I believe it would only strengthen his base in their fear mongering. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans don't understand democratic socialism. I'd like to see President Harris have Bernie on her staff definately though.

  • Dan - 5 years ago

The only reason Yang has such a high vote count is because his followers on reddit are brigading the poll.

Bernie is the obvious winner here. He is the ONLY ONE who is passionate about taking on the military industrial complex, fossil fuel industry, big pharma, insurance companies, and other facets of the elite ruling class that are controlling all aspects of our government. Some of the other candidates may claim that they are passionate about taking on such special interests, but Bernie (with the exception of Elizabeth Warren) is the ONLY ONE that actually cares about the danger of the immense destructive power held by these organizations. Bernie is the ONLY ONE who cares and is the only candidate who ACTUALLY HAS THE BALLS to call out the corporate scum for what they are and is willing to do something about it. Candidates such as Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker are corporate democrats who have sold their souls to the people who are putting money in their pockets; they will not help us. Beating Trump is important as we move ahead, but achieving such a feat would only be the beginning of moving towards a positive trend. If the people cannot take the power back from the corporations that control this country, nothing will change significantly in the years to come. Bernie Sanders is our best shot at making sure such powerful forces are challenged.

Bernie is the only choice! Kamala did well in the debate, but she’s not a great candidate. Can’t stand Buttigieg. He says nothing oh so well...0 substance

Andrew Yang was barely asked any questions and still managed to make an impact on me.

  • Jake - 5 years ago

It was embarrassing to watch all the arguing and talking over each other that the majority of the candidates did. It was very clear that NBC had a bias towards Creepy Uncle Joe and Sellout Bernie, which I find disgusting. Hopefully the next debate won’t be such a shit show, and hopefully the next debate there will be more focus on the more polite candidates, like Mr. Yang.

What a freak show. Who won? Trump.

  • Tim - 5 years ago

Wow. What a blowout. Harris was head and shoulders above the field. Not even close!!!

  • Nate Solver - 5 years ago

Great performances by many candidates all around. But only ynly yang had the most concise and accurate answers about the real reasons why thus country chose trump. Ignore him at your own peril! It's always the economy! Think about it, folks.

  • Anna - 5 years ago

Bernie Sanders clearly has led the political revolution. All the candidates are talking about progressive values as if it was main stream. We can thank Bernie for that!! I'm seeing Sanders/Gabbard 2020!

  • Kelli Davis - 5 years ago

Joe Biden all the way, he's been vice president knows what is expected. Harris seems racist of white people. A lot of people got bused, she wasn't the only one like she seems to think. The most important thing is she can't beat Trump, I wouldn't vote for her

  • Milo - 5 years ago

Andrew Yang won. $1000 bucks a month for everybody will have more life changing affect on Americans than any dinky little program proposed by the other democrats. Only Yang can beat Trump to be honest.

  • Randi Green - 5 years ago

Kamala Harris’s smug and contentious banter was a total turnoff. Joe Biden is still my choice

  • Jason Weisz - 5 years ago

Something about Michael Bennet that has a healing vibe. I hope he gains momentum and remains in the scene

  • Sara - 5 years ago

Marianne Williamson has a broader vision for our country and democracy. The truth is that asking what a candidate will do Day one is nonsense! They can’t make empty promises and win. Let’s get to the real issues of corruption and big corporations and elect someone who will inspire the American people to stand up and work together to redeem our country!

  • Interested Voter - 5 years ago

Mayor Pete was the most impressive underdog performance. He was respectful, on target, articulate and firm. His performance tonight ensures he is in next debate. Harris was impressive, and will poll very well, but I sincerely believe that her discussion about race was too personal and will alienate many female and especially male white voters; though it might mobilize some couch sitters to go to polls. If she can take her foot off the pedal a little on that issue and address it as an American concern as opposed to as a victim out for vengeance, then she has a lot going for her. Yang was interesting, and I can see a short-lived appeal. Bernie is a mobilizing machine and didn’t do poorly, but he is angry and would be 79 on Election Day. I ultimately think this will hurt him. Biden, didn’t do poorly, but he also didn’t do great, but he has more to lose than other candidates. Of course, like Bernie, age is an issue that will be difficult to overcome. The rest will fall off. Hickenlooper is a wildcard—if only he were 10 years younger....

  • Chris Belk - 5 years ago

Kamala had a great combination of emotion and ideas. She won, but Buttigieg was my close second. He was very clear and I loved it. Biden and Bernie didn't do too well - I think it's time for the new kids on the block.

  • Liss - 5 years ago

Kirsten Gillibrand is the only candidate who understands, and has a plan for, fighting the corruption in Washington. And she couldn't be more correct that until we take away the ability of wall street, special interest lobbyists, corporations and the very wealthy to "buy" a politician through campaign donations, it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible to pass legislation that is for the American people instead of these other groups. Our voices are not heard and acted upon because politicians have to pander to those who got them elected through campaign donations.

  • Rose welshans - 5 years ago

Joe Biden all the way. Over the years he has shown compassion for the middle class as well as the oppressed. He is for workers unions to keep jobs Sanger and assure wage increase. He initiated and passed the Brady bill. He worked with Obama and was an integral part of Obama. I felt. He did well. I did not see him as a wilting candidate. Face it he already has the experience. His education plan is to help the poor and people of race who are oppressed. The bussing issue is not a factor he fought for black people to allow them to purchase homes in better neighborhoods to allow their children opportunities to go to better schoolsTo attack someone over. a 50 argument.is preposterous. He grew and was a great civil rights advocate

  • W. John O’Conner - 5 years ago

Someone like Biden or Pete should have cutdown the sniping K.Harris with a down and dirty comeback about her malfeasance in office as Attorney General in California

Kamal did what she does best, Hold people accountable and not allow excuses for what someone has said or do e. Remember what she said, this election isnt about Republican or Democrats, it is about us the American People.!!

Bernie Sanders all the way. He’s been saying this for years not just jumping in the ban wagon like the rest of them. He has passion and ideas. All Kamala Harris has is one liners.

  • Donald Cruse - 5 years ago

Biden won because he showed the power of the American people when they unite, not divide. Sen. Harris ruined her campaign by attacking Biden, and thus, The Democratic Party itself.

  • Garrett B - 5 years ago

Easily Kamala from a standpoint of building support and possibly pulling support from soft Biden supporters. He is not the living meme of the Obama era
