    Hello Rod and Karen,

I always love your episodes and your shows. I would have to disagree with you regarding Kanye being back/or all the way back! That church service that he had last week was in Detroit, at the now newly re-named The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre (aka Chene park). Which is an outdoor Amphitheatre where concerts like this are held throughout the summer.

In my book I do not consider it to be a sellout event when the tickets are free! In Detroit if you give anything out for free people will come and take the free stuff. I do agree with you that if you want to get back with black people the best way to do it is through the church/religion. A large segment of African-American eat that religious stuff up and once again will do that forgiveness thing if you use religion as the vessel. If a black family/people can forgive a white supremacist who gun down their love ones aka hugging and forgiven the off-duty cop from gunning down the most perfect black man since Barack Obama, in his own apartment, then it will be very easy for Kanye to be forgiven for hugging on to Trump.

Finally, in the past few months a lot of stories have been put out there about Detroit and racism such as black people being kicked out of bars or stop and harassed by police officers while walking to meet people for lunch. You have to understand that Detroit is surrounded by white suburban towns and city’s. These white suburban areas are where most of these incidents happen. Even though there has been a steady gentrification going on in the city of Detroit. But I'm sure where you live it is probably the same way? No one really knows the small suburban towns around major cities so in order to get the story out about it they always say Detroit or Charlotte. No one read the story if it said Royal Oak or Farmington Hills Michigan.

Anyway thanks for the opportunity to give you some feedback! Keep up the good work!

Regarding 'canceling problematic artists', you may not remember but last year there was a Cuban-Puerto Rican artist, Sabrina Claudio, that repeatedly used the N-word on IG (several years ago when she was in grade school) and said other unsavory things about black women. Before this news came out, I was bumping her music on the regular and guess what I did after? Still bumping it on the regular. I am a black woman myself and was hurt by her comments but she apologized (I guess) and that was a long time ago and I love her music. I am ashamed but, whatever. I like what I like :)
