Until Twitter came along, I didn't even know there was beef amongst black people among the different pies. My grandmother would make sweet potato pone (which is basically mashed, whipped and baked sweet potatoes as Thanksgiving side dish, so why would we need a sweet potato pie too? So we would have pumpkin pie and apple pie. Sometimes bread pudding. Damn, I miss my grandma's cooking. :-( I'm hungry now. (Question, why our food never taste as good as our mom or grandma made it although we are using the same exact ingredients and passed down recipe?)

I'll happily eat either one, especially if there is ice cream.
