Chloe looks amazing. It’s kind of strange to see these young people reach the age where it is okay to some to look at them with a different eye though.

It doesn't take much for me to cry. I've never cried because of anything personal on social media but I'm always crying when I see those tear jerker videos. Like that Amazon commercial with the black ballerina.

Yep! This was about this time last year? A (white) bestie of mine, someone I had known for 30 years got caught up in the Trump AND QAnon craziness.
She posted a meme whose basic point was that white kids had been being demonized for hundreds of years, that decisions that their elders made had caused white kids to not have rights or freedom any longer. Yea. WHITE KIDS.
I’m the godmother to her kids, she’s the godmother to mine. When she bought a house 20 years ago, her and her hubby bought the house around the corner from us so that we could raise our kids together.
Her husband and my 1st husband were also besties, and after my 1st husband passed away about 12 years ago, he cried like a fucking BABY.
I helped her do some (rather illegal) shit to get back at her husband after she caught him cheating.
We were so close that we would randomly check in on one another’s parents.
We had been through some SHIT together, and I truly thought of her as a sister.
    Then, I saw that post.
We had been having little “tiffs” about her views ever since 2015 when Trump started to run. Over the years, I was watching as allllllll of her black friends that she gained in college started jumping ship.
BAY-BAY. When I tell you that I cried. I cried because I knew that she was beyond help. I couldn’t reach Gwen.
I did text her and tell her that I was blocking her on fb and ig, and why. Then, I ended our friendship, because, for the first time in our friendship, this bitch had the NERVE to say that she doesn’t see color.
She had the audacity to tell me that she doesn’t see something that molds who I am to my core.
Yep. I miss her. But after that, it’s a fat “fuck you forever”. I just don’t have space in my heart for anything other than that.

Yes, but never because of people coming at me or anything like that. Only happened one time, when Chadwick died. I thought it was fake for a few minutes. It's one of those things I'll never forget where I was.

Dogs being reunited with soldiers coming back from deployment videos on social media make me blubber. Also the same for babies and children doing amazing things or "medical miracles" like the deaf person who hears for the first time or someone who lost an arm getting gifted with a high tech prosethetic because the community came together. It's never mad me cry in anger or sadness, but I am also not tied to social media like my 13 and 15 year old daughters are. Now, social media does make me scream in anger more than I cry.

I voted "no," but? That's not QUITE accurate. I've cried at sweet content, e.g., babies doing amazing things. So and #WellActually? CRIED.

I voted No in the poll but I wanted to clarify that I am not on social media (heavily). I'm certain if I was it would definitely have. I am struggling with comparing myself and my life with others and at this point social media would not at all be healthy for me.
