I'm watching the Olympics only for the Volleyball. It looks it beach volleyball with be the safest sport out there. That indoor volleyball with the teams of 6 a piece looks kinda shaky.

I voted in the poll before actually listening to the episode, and I wanted to clarify, for the record, that my interest in the Olympics don't have shit to do with symbolism, or nationalism, or any of that: I actually care about those sports. I'mma actually be watching the track and field, especially the field events (I threw Hammer and Javelin in high school: I'm a field nigga, y'all), I'mma be watching the judo, the handball, the swimming, the archery... all that. I wish there were more of those sports on ESPN, on the regular, instead of football, and baseball and hockey.

I haven't watched a minute of SportsCenter since Jemele and Michael stopped hosting The Six. The show always seemed pointless, to me. As someone who hates football, doesn't care about any of the "glamour" teams in basketball, or the "Power 5" conferences in college, and is primarily interested in the "non revenue-generating" sports, SportsCenter was never what was hot. Sitting through fifty-nine minutes of bullshit, in the hopes that they MIGHT show the highlights of the Norfolk State/Hampton game? Like, for who? For what? Ever since that app came out, I've been of the opinion that anybody who still sits in front of their TV, at the same time everyday, to look at scores and highlights, is an all-day sucker. The only reason to even watch shows like that, is because you vibe with the host.
I say all of that, mostly to get it off my chest, because I've been holding it in for a while, but it also kinda/sorta pertains to the poll question: like I said, I'm one of those weird niggas that mostly cares about the "non revenue-generating" sports, and I actually pay attention to a lot of the events that they compete in at the Summer Games, way more often than once every four years... which is a roundabout way of saying, yes, Rod, I will be watching the Olympics.
